  1. I bought an adjustable timing plate from Ricky Stator, is it so unreliable that I shouldn't bother installing? I'm a bit worried now. Will it wreck my lady?
  2. Hi, Running a 2013 Banshee with: FMF fatty gold series pipes Powercore 2 silencers Toomey 2 into 1 air filter +4 adjustable timing plate Maybe vForce reeds? Haven't decided yet. I have 310 and 320 jets ready to install. Would these be an adequate starting point? Thanks.
  3. I enjoy trails also. I mostly use my Banshee to discover places I'd otherwise never be able to access. You can fit a nice little 25L tank to the back of the bike and set out on a day trip.
  4. This is really neat, I hadn't considered hill-climbing as a thing in itself. I know some pretty enormous hills where I ride. Got up one of them I wasn't sure I would. I had really poor tread on my rear tires. Got some rear Razr Ballances and front Razr XCs, there's one hill in particular out in the dunes I'd like to get up. Impossibly steep and soft.
  5. That's really unfortunate. I HATE buying new toys and having them not work! Happened with my 2013 Banshee until I put some fuel in
  6. I'd really like to port my cylinders but I hear it comes with reliability issues :/
  7. Today I got 2x Ballance tires in the rear, and 2x Razr XC tires in the front; aftermarket handlebars; 310 and 320 jets, and a got my flywheel removed. Those jets sound alright? Toomey 2 into 1 air filter without the air box, FMF fatty gold series pipes, powercore 2 silencer, +4 timing plate. Also considering some vForce4 reeds. Advisable? I'd like some more low end for trails.
  8. I went with Maxxis Razr Balance in the rear, and Maxxis Razr XC on the front. Going to be a fun Easter.
  9. Yeah NWA is great. Plus you gotta run from them when you see em in state and national parks. I'll have a chat to the bloke at the store, that was the size I was looking at most. Thought a wider tire would provide more traction. I'll report back here with what I end up getting.
  10. Hi, Tomorrow I am going to buy some tires for my Banshee. The tread on my current ones is shit and the rear right has a slow leak. I will be purchasing paddles later on for dunes - these will be used mostly on trails, in very boggy beach sand, and perhaps for some doughies I really like the look of Maxxis Razr2's, but will consider: Maxxis Razr2 Razr Ballance Holeshots Kenda Klaws I guess I'd like a fair bit of traction. I notice I mostly spin my wheels excessively in soft sand. Would like a bit more grip, with the ability to ride really well on trails. Would the Razr2's be adequate for that? ___________________________________________________________ What about tire dimensions? I have the stock rims and would prefer to keep them, but have no issue with purchasing new wheels if it means better performance. Should I go for wider or taller tires? Thanks for the replies in advance, and remember I'm going in ~8hrs

  12. You're significantly more likely to die on a head on collision on the narrow, overgrown tracks on the way to the beach than you are from a shark attack while swimming. In 140 years there has never been a shark attack near there.
  13. Western Australia. Nah haha that's a shack in the middle of nowhere we have permission to use. Miles and miles of trails and beaches. 0 to 100m. Warmish climate, like 15-40c I guess would be the range throughout the year.
  14. I've meant t ask about that - going in tomorrow to get the jets. What size would you recommend? Thinking three of each mains and pilots. The guy I got the pipes off recommended 260.
  15. Thanks man haha, you'd be even more jelly of the location I'm riding in. I'll have a look around for some pics. @ Dixie normus: you mean the little bracket that connects to the chassis and the stock pipe? Yeah I've got those. They were in the way which was why I thought the FMF pipes might not fit. I loosened the nut and rotated the pipe hanger around and it seems to be in an acceptable position. The coolant pipe from the radiator still blocks the pipe, but I'm sure I'll figure it out Thanks lads
  16. Yeah I got her all stock. This upgrade I'm putting in a Toomey 2 into 1 air filter, adjustable timing plate, powercore 2 silencers, FMF fatty gold series pipes, aftermarket handlebars (I rolled it and bend the stock ones), jets, and iridium sparkplugs. New to this (and mechanics in general) so it's a learning experience. Enjoying it though. Yeah the pipes seem to fit very awkwardly, but they will fit with a bit of effort, correct? They're not incompatible or anything? Sweet, good to know
  17. Also, and more importantly - I bought FMF fatty gold series pipes and powercore 2 silencers - 1987-2006, and they don't seem to fit. I read online that they should fit, but the mounting points seem to be in entirely the wrong place and it doesn't really fit in there. Is this so? Did I get the wrong pipes?
  18. Hi, I have a 2013 Yamaha Banshee. I am halfway through removing the airbox, I've removed the bolts and most of the screw (some are awkwardly placed, still working on em) - then I hear I just push it forward and out. What about the Toomey 2 into 1 filter? Do I just stick it into the carb intake holes? Do I need to affix it somehow? It came with no instructions and there were none I could find in Google. Thanks in advance
