No advance that I know of. Its a 4 mil that had a spacer in it, when he did all the work he said that he ditched the spacer and had the domes milled. Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk

My buddy just got his motor back from a shop that did a complete 4 mil build from top to bottom. He gets is back in the bike and starts it up, not good. Shuts it down takes it back to guy that built it and tells him the clutch is screaming, the guy looks at my friend like he's crazy and says drop it off and he'll look at it. Calls 15 min later and tells him that it had no oil in it that he should have put it in. When my buddy asked why he didn't put oil in he says we never put oil in the motors unless he is doing the install because you have to tip the motor to install. What??? Then when asked why it matters he just says that's just the way we do it but I put some oil in so now you owe me another $15. Is it wrong to expect the newly built motor to have oil in it?

The guy tells me to get it broke in(2 tanks easy riding up and down through the gears) then bring it back in to be dyno'ed and tuned. I make it to a tank and 1/2 and my plug backs out and looks like this. When you have a shop do this kind of work, is it safe to assume that they would put new plugs in?

Sorry my pic file is too big or something but it is dark grey almost black, the electrode is gone and the prong is broken or burned up. I think it broke somehow and ended up in my bottom end because now my left side is knocking and smoke and heat only coming out of right side. Not sure if I'm being unreasonable but it seems to me if you take a bike in that isn't running, they tell you what you need and you do it, then something like this shouldn't have happened.

I've heard a lot of good things about John for over 20years. I've only had a few dealings with him but they all have been good. I'm not concerned with getting cheated or anything like that. I'm just curious what other people's options are on what could or should be expected with this set up. Thanks for all the comments.
