  1. I would love too. I'm in Wichita. Any recommendations? Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  2. ** but new piston** Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  3. I'm not looking for someone to tell me it's the builders fault but between my 2 bikes and my buddies motor this shop has done a lot of work and so far nothing has went right or on time, took 6 weeks for new top end and port job, my other bike was only getting ported and ended up getting bored out also so I had to buy new post one to match new bore, and more. Being new to this stuff I'm trying to get as much info on lots of things as I can. I have started a few new post ask lots of questions about lots of things. With as many problems as there have been from the beginning it's hard to believe that I am the cause of them all. But if I'm getting the shaft I want to know if I can. Also if all these things are all my fault then the truth would suck and hurt but it would be the truth and an expensive lesson learned. Just trying to learn to be able to better form my own opinions. 4. This is the plug. The other look okay, darker and kind off wet looking Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  5. I was told that my new top end (shop installed)and probably the crank bearing are toast because I had to have been to crazy with my break in and had to have let off the throttle from a high rev and leaned out the dominant cylender and that it couldn't have been because of an air leak. And for the record my son, on a blaster was able to keep up with me on a ported 4mil during break in. Or my theory is that something didn't get torqued down properly, or gaskets or surfaces weren't 100% clean creating an air leak that leaned out that cylender. Is either one possible? Is one more likely than the other?
  6. I'm pretty sure it was John, that's why it took so long because he's the only one that does it and he's crazy busy Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  7. I'm gonna. It was on when I got it. Everything I've read and heard 2 into 1s suck and even more so the trinity is the worst. Just waiting for a good deal. But all that aside with bansheehq and her, I was able to get it tuned pretty good, I think. Pulled on my buddy 1-4 but he had me in 5th&6th. But now that it's ported, back to square one. 8. I've got 2 shees, the mostly stock one is good. My 4mil with a new ported and milled top end just melted the left plug 1&1/2 tanks in on a easy break in. Pretty sure that's not supposed to happen when a shop did all the work and install and was cleared for break in. Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  9. Fatty pipes, trinity 2 into 1 carb that I don't like and now ported, that's it. Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  10. Cost of tuition. Lol Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  11. It probably was sceaming for help but if you don't know the language it's hard to recognise the cry for help. To me it didn't sound any different from when I picked it up. I'm sure John at Jsr is for sure a real deal expert in his field, I'm not saying he's not but even experts make mistakes sometimes or the guys working for him. Because it only happened to one cylender, a lot of people are leaning towards an air leak on that side. Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  12. It was faster than the stock shees I've ridden but did it run the way a proper built, ported and tuned 4mil should? Couldn't tell ya. I've never had one. Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  13. Yes it's Jsr from Wichita. We haven't settled up yet but I think the cost is around$300. Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  14. About time. Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  15. Don't know if I have been charged for new plugs, we haven't settled up yet. And I would hope they were tightened, they were installed by the "professional" . smart ass. Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  16. If you dropped off a broke down bike and said I don't know what's wrong with it, fix it. They port, bore, new pistons, cut domes, reassemble and send out as done, should this be an issue? Could they have done something wrong, did I do something wrong, or do I just have really bad luck? Also I told him I wanted to run on pump has and that's what I was running when all this happened. Am I wrong in assuming that during the reassembly process that they would see the old plugs are probably junk and washer is completely flat that they should probably put new ones in ? Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  17. The pics of cylender is the ones I assembled. The plug is from the 4 mil I dropped off. Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk

  19. Just to be clear. I had work done to 2 different bikes. Shee#1 is a 4 mil that I traded for, was only running on one cylender. Took it in said I need it fixed. I was told I needed a new top end, I said do it and port it while you are at it. It took almost 6 weeks! Picked it up tried to get through break in and melted the plug. Shee#2 I dropped off a perfectly good set of jugs from a good top end to be ported, instead they got ported and bored. So now I had to buy new pistons too. I assembled the top end and broke in with no problems. Runs like a champ. Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  20. It was fully assembled by the shop and was ridden by him before we loaded it up. Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  21. If it's wrong fuel or dome set up, will that also ruin the bottom end? After the plug backed out there's a little knock coming from left side bottom end. Would it be related or signs of another problem? Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  22. Not me. My buddy. I wouldn't have not checked the oil. But in all fairness everyone on here has said they don't put oil in but they all have also said that they are sure to tell people that they need to. Not yep it's good, go break it in. Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  23. But still what causes that to happen to a plug? Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  24. To the sailer on here if you're so offended by what think are stupid questions, then don't read them. People like you make it a pain for people new to this to find out more. Prick! Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  25. The spark plug question was in reference to my bike, the whole bike was dropped off and I was told all was good but it wasn't. I have a post about the plugs under what makes a spark plug do this? Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
