  1. So I continue to find missing and aftermarket parts on my project banshee. I knew I needed a caliper for the front left wheel, however when I pulled off the front right I found this. What bike is this from?
  2. I bought my banshee as a project or possibly to flip, not sure yet. However I have noticed several missing parts as I go through it. From what I have found it looks like I am missing a bracket for the toomey exhaust. Is this correct and if so, where can I find these?
  3. I bought a project banshee to possibly flip. I will likely keep it for alittle and then flip it in the spring. The plastics are classic yamaha blue but are alittle rough. Will painting the plastics affect the value in a positive or negative way? If I should paint it, would keeping it blue likely yield the highest return?
  4. Typically do most people just rebuild the carb while they are in there?
  5. So I have leaking carbs among other issues on the banshee. From my research it looks like it is likely a dirty needle that is possibly causing the needle to not seat properly. What in your experience are the first things to take a look at?
  6. Ok thanks guys. I will put it all bad together and report back. It sounds like my issue is because i was testing it prior to fully assembling everything.
  7. What material is that washer? So i just received the new eccentric adjustment stud and it seems as if this was most of the problem. However, the shift shaft seems to wiggle toward the right after a few shifts and then has to be pushed back in slightly (0.5 inch) in order to shift again. What should be holding this from moving toward the right? Where are items 2,3 and 7 internal or external because this quad has nothing other than the shifter on the left (stator side)?
  8. I was going to be replacing the front and rear pads. My question is, can I simply swap the pads in? Typically on cars the correct way is to either cut or replace the rotors, not sure if its the same.
  9. Is this something that is critical to do right away or can it wait? It looks like its basically only supporting part of the stator cover pretty much.
  10. Does it have to be TIGd or can they use a MIG with a spool gun?
  11. To add the several issues I have with the banshee I picked up for pretty cheap. I noticed this when buying it but thought it probably was not a huge deal since it does not look to truly support anything or is an area that would leak. I guess it just threw the chain at one point.
  12. Not sure. Is there anyway to really tell for sure?
  13. So I checked the eccentric bolt and it was actually broken. I ordered a new one and found that I am missing the part # 5 in the diagram Washer, Lock yamaha part# 90215-08174-00. Does this part need to be a yamaha part or will a standard lock washer suffice?
  14. Thanks again. I really appreciate it.
  15. What is the method on how to adjust the eccentric? I ordered the manual but it wont arrive until Tuesday.
  16. Thanks alot guys.
  17. I just purchased a banshee and it will not change gears by while using gear selecter. I just pulled the clutch basket off and inspected the shift star and found alittle bit of wear on what I believe is the shaft for neutral. However, I don't think enough to cause a problem. While having everything apart I was able to shift the trans by rotating the shift star by hand. I did however find some issues with the shift shaft. I am not sure if this will cause shiftiting issues. Please advise.
