I will try grinding the slots, I have a dune trip next week and this is the last thing I needed to get done, go figure there would be a complication. I did some reading on other forums and some say to remove the lower roller and you are good, is that a good idea?
-
If only I could just take one link out
-
Ill probably get a new chain, I just don't want to miss so ring and have the same issue with a new chain
-
Also I should add I have all 104 links it was way too lose, took two out now won't close
-
So I bought a used banshee and the chain was really loose (about 2-3in of slack) with the swing arm adjusted all the way back so I took two links out (the least I can take out) adjusted the swing arm all the way forward and now there aren't enough links to put e chain back together, is it possible the chain stretched at just the right amount that there is no possible adjustment? Could It be worn out rollers? What am I missing?

Lots of decent parts, for sale or trade
dgk30 replied to B.b.p builders's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
How much for the front fender plastic. If not willing to separate, how much for all -
I've got a few small items I am willing to trade, front brake master and lever, 1/2" reed spacers and bolts, and a parking brake I doubt anyone wants but let me know what you have, I am always looking for extra parts. Thanks

Well I have no idea what the issue was, wouldn't start this morning again so I sprayed a small squirt of carb cleaner in the carbs. She fired up and ran great, went out to the garage this evening and first kick we were in business again running great, carbs must have had a hard time getting fuel to the cylinders initially or something because now it's running first kick
-
Yes that is disconnected
-
Noob question, I started my new banshee up after a lot of work for the first time last weekend, ran great, shut it down decided to do a couple more things, replaced the clutch cable and took off the parking break, went to start it today and can't get it to fire, took the plugs out and checked spark, I have spark and I have fuel, what could be the issue, what should I check? Only thing I can think of is that I unplugged the parking brake switch cable but I don't have tors and I have spark so in my mind it shouldn't be the issue. This is really irritating considering I had it running great just a few days ago

Does anybody have a set of pipe mounts they want to sell?
-
I want to race cut my front fenders, they are stock blue and in decent shape. I was told to not cut them because it will really knock down the value, especially as these machines get older. Am I better off buying a front fender thats already cut and keeping my original fenders? or would you say it really doesnt make a difference as far as the value goes.
-
Yeah wasn't planning on getting knock offs, don't recall saying anything about a knockoff k&n. Also I am not discrediting k&n at all, you'll notice I say they make a great filter, and they do. I was simpy just looking at the comparison of a foam filter vs a k&n for sand use. Thanks for the input but I think we've beat this one to death
-
I have no problem spending the money on K&N, and I agree they make a great filter, is it the best? debatable, do you pay for the name? for the most part yes but all in all its going to do the job. I just couldnt help myself in giving my two cents on thinking a uni would do a good job in the sand as well, and for half the price, anyway ill most likey get the K&N's as they seem to have proven themesleves.
-
Having said that I Still think the UNI's would be fine, sand is so coarse it should be the least of worry when talking about filtration. A two stage uni and outerwear should be just fine
-
Sounds like we have a decision, k&n it is! Thanks for the input
-
Even with an outerwear they clogged? I would think they would be alright with an outerwear
-
Has anybody used these UNI pods? They aren't k&n syle, looks more like a foam style, you can see them in the link below. I ride sand dunes and was thinking about ditching the airbox and going with pods. I came across these and wanted some input as they are cheaper than k&n and want see if they were worth Trying or not. Thanks http://www.bikebandit.com/aftermarket-parts/motorcycle-fuel-and-air/air-filters-universal/uni-pod-universal-motorcycle-filter?b=24557&utm_source=feed&utm_medium=merchantfeed&utm_campaign=pla&kpid=24557&gclid=CM6QvbuulMACFQamaQodnmUAbg

Anybody have an extra stock carb body laying around?
dgk30 replied to dgk30's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
Sent you a PM builder -
Well I am an idiot and drilled the wrong side of my carb when doing a tors delete. I only did it wrong on one carb so if anyone wants to get rid of just one carb let me know, even if its just the body, I have all the internals. I messed up the choke side carb. I know its more likely ill find a set of carbs so I am not opposed to buying a set but if you happen to have that one carb you cant get rid of, I am your guy. Thanks

Bought a front brake master, item was as described and pictured with fast shipping right on time, also provided me the tracking info. Appreciate it, wouldn't hesitate to buy from again.

I have a ton of wrenching to do between now and then but I'll be ther at the hideaway all weekend

Anybody know where I can find replacement webing for these nerf bars I have? Just bought the banshee with these on it, not sure what the brand is. Can't find 3x3 webbing on eBay or anywhere online if anybody knows where I can get some let me know.
