Yes. I think youve found the problem, the lighting coil on the stator

Can vary drastically in price. 4 mil stocker 1500
4 mil serval 2500
stock stroke stock cylinder 500-1000
There are builders getting reliable 77hp out of stock stroke stock clyinder engines with your pipes, porting, carb boring, and head shave. Unless your a heavy guy id go that option and save money

well i bought the bike with an athena topend already on it they guy said hey tried to tune it and burnt the piston so i thought just get new stuff all together ...now your sayin i should not??i just new what do u mean narrow power band? i know the guy told me the kit i got will make 85+hp withgood tuning and 100+on race gas now im not really doing a drag bike but i do want it FAST!
If its already on the bike and all you need is a piston, run it. Is the cylinder scored so bad it needs re-plating?

I think it was a bad move. Unless your cylinders are finished your stock cylinders are the way to go. Athena has bad plating and port timings I’ve read makes the power band narrow. You would have been better getting Driveline cylinders which have taken that design and improved it and drastically improved the plating.

If you get long travel a arms you’ll need different shocks.
-
Id do the a arms first. LSR sells an axle a arm package.
-
Here Jugs Racing and FAST do awesome porting and have a decent turn around time.
vF4 reeds, welded stock crank and a good pipe and you’ll be flying. If you have money though, through it into a arms and shocks.

You can still buy the petals for 2-4.
anyway word is that VF2s for drag applications are the best. I have no first hand knowledge of this but have heard this multiple times. Cascade Innovations tested all the reeds and found VF4 had the best power throughout the curve. I believe they are better than VF2s across the board except for wide open (drag) riding.

Not FMF Fattys?
We need to know your jet sizes, both pilot and main

You need new cushions and check your clutch basket fingers for grooving also.

How much HP are you running? That looks like fun.
what would be the ultimate engine set up to be the fastest at the race?
-
Whip some ass, your bike shouldnt be getting beat by no 450😝
If you have a GoPro take a video,
Good luck at the next race

Whens the next race?
Whats done to your banshee?
What engine was in the hybrid and how competitive were you on your bike?

get any videos of this race?

i dont think he cut the rear

Claude, put a matching seat cover on that unit.

The transmission as it is is plenty strong, the problem with the increased hp is the shifting. The promod eliminates that problem so shifting under load is easier.

Try this with the eccentric screw first. Hopefully you didnt bend a fork.

Fine. Your thinking too much about this. Every banshee on the planet is running pods or air box and they all work great and dyno testing shows a 1 hp gain with pods. Not worth the hp if your pipes can bend around the air box run the air box

run the air box without the lid and a pro flow kit
