  1. My banshee got stolen over the summer and on my list to do is a set of pipes. One of the expansion chambers on my FMF fatty's that are on there not got destroyed so I am looking for a new pipe. Motor will be stock other than uni filters and a fresh rebuild. I ride mainly trail, generally at a fast pace but take it slow some times. I also play in old gravel pits. Thanks, Brad.
  2. Thanks for the tip, only reason I wanted to replace them is because I am putting a new swingarm on. I do not know if my bearings are bad. Thanks about the shocks and gearing!! Thanks, I kinda thought it was because of the centralized silencer. As long as they give decent low/great mid and do not fall off up top I don't mind haha. Thanks all, Brad.
  3. I also am going to replace both front and rear sprockets as well as the chain. I want to go with a double o-ring for quality/longevity. Any recommendations on what tooth sprockets I should run?
  4. http://www.ebay.com/itm/14-75-375mm-A-Pair-Front-Shocks-Absorber-Yamaha-Banshee-ATV-replacement-Black-/180940010048?pt=Motors_ATV_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2a20dd7240&vxp=mtr Those are the link, any idea? Don't need something too fancy, just something that isnt going to handle like crap.
  5. I like the look/sound of the 916. Also DMC quality (from what I have seen on my friend's raptor 700) is top notch. I will enclose a list of what I am doing for rebuilding it. THE PISTONS/CYLINDERS are not in there because I do not have it torn down fully yet. I am hoping I just need to hone and replace pistons/rings. I am 99.99% sure how it got "blow up" per say, after it was stolen I am positive the person put fuel in it and DID NOT MIX with oil, thus causing terrible conditions. I will probably have to replace cylinders also but hoping for the best. How do the DMC 916's compare to the FMF Fatty's that are on there? Is it worth buying a new set of fatties w/o silencers? I also want it to look good and my fatties are destroyed (rusted/pitted) and one expansion chamber is torn like something fell on it (like a piece of angle iron or something with a sharp corner from up high because there is a nice slice in it). Thanks, Brad. LIST: 1) DMC 916 Pipes 2) Mull Eng- Billet Impeller 3) Mull Eng- Billet Water Pump Drive Gear 4) Mull Eng- Water Pump Seal 5) Mull Eng- Billet Shift Star 6) Fast Racing- Kicker Rebuild 7) Fast Racing- Clutch Kit 8) Fast Racing- Clutch Gasket 9) Fast Racing- Billet Clutch Basket 10) TM Designworks- Case Saver 11) Fast Racing- Adjustable Stator/Timing Plate 12) Boss Racing- Pancake Bearing 13) Ebay Shocks, one of mine is bent ($136) 14) Factory Swingarm (mine is +2 or +4 and I HATE IT, if anybody wants to swap let me know)($60) 15) ITP Holeshot H-D Rear Tires (20x11x9) 16) ITP Holeshot XCR Front Tires (21x7x10) 17) DG Front Bumper 18) Maier- Silver Carbon Fiber Gas Tank Covers 19) Maier- Silver Carbon Fiber Radiator Cover 20) Maier- Black Front Fenders 21) Maier- Black Rear Fenders 22) Pro-Tek Gas Cap 23) Boss Bearing- Rear Axle Rebuild Kit 24) Boss Bearing- Swingarm Bearing Kit (needle bearings) Any other suggestions? Total comes to approx. $2500 w/o rebuild since that is all my sh*tty insurance company is going to cover since it was stolen, I guess thats what I pay for................. Plastics are trashed, bent, broken, cut. I am going to ground up restore this bike.
  6. Any thoughts on the DMC 916 pipe? I have been told its a decent low/great mid pipe because of the 2-to-1 style. Any truth to that?
  7. Look not loom, darn swype!
  8. I've decided to skip porting/head for now but switch to dmc 916 pipes. Got to loom at it today and one of the expansion chambers is destroyed. I think the expansion chamber is big bulbous part? I'm familiar with four strokes but not really two strokes.
  9. What kind of domes woukd you suggest with hjr aggressive trail porting and the fatty pipes?? Thanks, Brad.
  10. FMF Gold Series Fatty pipes with PowerCore 2 silencers. The pipes are not in the best cosmetic shape but are physically sound. I will wrap them in header wrap to help keep heat in em' and look better. Thanks, Brad.
  11. Who's billet water pump/gear do you recommend? Is the head really needed? Any idea on price/who makes the best? Thanks, Brad.
  12. Well I am new here and figured that it was a good choice to find a strictly banshee forum. My banshee got stolen this summer, and I still haven't gotten it back but the police recovered it but not without damage. 1)Motor is blown, will not run, I have not actually seen it yet so I cannot determine what is destroyed. 2) Swingarm is extended and it sucks for riding. 3) Plastics are destroyed, I need new ones. 4) Rear caliper/brake pads are shot. What do you recommend me to do when it comes to the rebuild? I want to turn it into a sick trail banshee (I know banshees are not ideal for trails but I love them too damn much) and I was thinking the following: 1) Either aggressive trail porting or MX porting 2) New ITP Holeshot XC or other really grippy tires. 3) Getting a stock swingarm since mine is extended (+4) and I hate the way it rides (and yes I have tried adjusting suspension) 4) New top end (if cylinders are fine get em ported anyway) 5) All new black plastics 6) New seat cover. 7) New headlights (mine are taped together, thanks robbers.) 8) New rear caliper/pads Any other suggestions? Thanks, Brad.
