Hard packed and rocky trails. Tons of paved and dirt roads. Need something to last on the pavement so im not killing my dirt tires. I trail ride and also ride and "drag" race neighbors on my road.

I have a billit hinson basket and barnett clutch with all hd springs, its a little stiff, but nothing to bad. I agree with zillafreak, try getting a new cable and a better perch. they make easy pull perches too, might be best so you can save for other mods.

I have the same questions. What does a lockup do? When you compare it to a 450 bike do you mean its going to have really torqy bottom end? I have a mild motor, dune porting, t5s, 30okos, timing advanced, 21cc domes, pro lite pistons, pro flow in open air box, vf3s, etc... Would i really benifit from a lock up? If so, how?

Im looking for a cheaper than new serval kit pretty much. If anyone has a good condition serval with a 4mil crank, please let me know. I have a top end for trade with cash if needed. Its a really good running motor. Broke in with klotz oil, crosshatching is perfect still. What i need is below: 4mil crank (welded) 421cc serval cylinders clean ready to run correct pistons for set up Head with 21cc domes for set up I have a good new 65mm dune ported top end to trade plus cash if needed. Im still running the bike so it is used. Currently has about 20hrs on top end. Wiseco pro lite pistons, mattoon custom milled head for pump gas. Have vf2 and vf3 reeds if you would like to choose, and a stock crank, not welded but was just rebuilt with new top end.

the trails are big enough you could drive your truck down them with room to spare. most of the trails are logging roads, gas lines, power lines etc. there are some tight trails but not very many. im usually in 3rd to 5th gear when on the trails. but we mess around a lot on the atv roads near by when im 6th wide open all the time. i want a real top end motor like a cheetah cub, but i still need bottom end for on the trails. also, how much could i get out of a ported top end and a welded stock stroke crank with the best bearings there are (cant remember what theyre called)

Right now i have a dune port, pd cool head with 21cc domes, t5 pipes, 30 okos with pods, vf3 reeds, adj timing plate and hd clutch kit. i want to build a 7mm 421 serval. is it going to be too much to trail ride? All ill need is the crank and top end right?
