  1. yeah ive herd that about the crank, hmm makes me think twice about what i want to do
  2. if im going to the trouble of getting the crank welded i may as well go all the way this is what i wanted to avoid at this stage if other carbs will make more power/make it ride better something i would just do while its apart to save changing them later i dont just ride dunes is there something wrong with the stock stroke cub idea or just not worth the extra over some porting? think i will put these pipes on the mrs bike n find something more suitable for me
  3. will the stock stroke cub be alot better then just a ported stock set up? i didnt want to have to pull my motor down n send it away for porting and have it apart for weeks ect i was looking at this because i need more power, i can have it all fitted/running in a day and it didnt seem crazy expensive and still keep my stock cyl/pistons ect
  4. hey fellas in the next few weeks going to be ordering a few parts to make the shee a bit faster as the motor has such low hours on it (less then 10 from new) i wasnt ready to replace the crank/rods ect bike currently has t5s and a uni filter only so i was looking at the stock stroke cub motor 68mm pistons with porting cool head 21cc domes bike runs on 98 pump fuel and is for dune/trail/play riding so my questions are does this set up work well? will i need to or get any gain out of larger carbs? will these pipes do the trick (dont really want oof pipes)? i have done a bit of looking around but still not really 100% i would rather do everything at the same time then fuck around swapping shit later ect what else would i need vf3 reeds? timing plate? billet intake? thanks for any help or experences you have
  5. So nothing to serious then
  6. Nah I didn't do the dc conversion just chucked them on to see how I go If they blow i will just get some more no big deal ha ha As for the light they do the job for exactly what I need and there cheap enough to not worry if they get broken or damaged I guess I will update after a few rides b see what's happened What do you think will happen Matt they will just pop one by one or the lights will just shit them selves straight away?
  7. They are about a cm or 2 smaller in diamiter then the stock lights And easily half the thickness They are made of ally and have a hard plastic lense I bought them from a local guy here in Perth
  8. I run 32:1 with alot of mates doin the same And yes even a few running 40:1
  9. hey guys was keen on a bit of night riding so i thought i would fit some new headlights to the shee the lights are led spotlights 25W each (8 leds in each) took just under an hour from start to finish to fit these lights few small mods required, i trimmed the bottom of the light and the tops of the factory light mount so they bolted up to the factory spot and using the factory mount i also used the plug of the stock lights no more high/low just on or off now but that doesnt matter lights were only $50 each and i like the look of them, there also only about 2inch thick i tried to get a pic of them in the dark pointing up the street but its raining now so thats not happening when the bike idles they do flicker a touch but after a few revs they are bright as fuck took it for a small spin up the road and they work mint, all in all for $100 bucks super happy with the result and time/effort taken to fit
  10. keen to ship them both to Australia?
  11. It's a 2008 model I've had it for almost 6 months I think I look after my things and the guy before me didn't ride it much
  12. thats how it sits now just set the other link up to hold the shock so i could leave it resting on its own n will swap that out as soon as the new one turns up after the few little issues pretty happy with it all new just want to test it
  13. re tapped the rods and they fit mint now they said they will express post the replacement link to me and i will get the brake line clamps later when there in stock they even offered to pay for the rods to be tapped but i had a tap and took 15 mins to sort out axle is in and fits mint what sort of camber should i run on the front ? and just a 0deg toe? be nice if the link arrives and i can test them this weekend although it is with stock shocks should still be better
  14. I also have an axle to go in, how should i set it 4' wider like the arms or so the wheels are level with each other ?
  15. I just spoke to them They said they are ment to run a tap through the rods but misse my set They are out of stock of the brake line clamps so jus didn't send them And are sending the correct link out to me Quick response and seem to be keen to fix the issue
  16. started off like this linkage so now sits like this no riding for me this weekend
  17. Well I just got my box of alba gear and so far not impressed First thing the brake line clamps were missin g Second was with the stock shock linkage one fit no worries the other is completly different and isn't even close to fitting Third the tie rods must have had the threads tapped and then chromed as there is shit all through them and the ends don't screw in without re tapping Also got a front bumper It was bent and only 2 out of 4 holes lined up After some bending/elongating the holes It bolts up but sits slightly angled Doesn't make me feel to safe about riding on their arms if all this is wrong already Will get some pics up in a few hours
  18. So with the link in there to long and with out it there to short Might just keep it stock for now n get some decent shocks to match when funds permit
  19. Anyone try the alba arms with the 450 shocks ? If you remove the stock shock attachment do you think it will work Only reason I ask, my arms will arrive anyday now and I have 450 shocks sitting there and I can't afford new shocks yet So the options were to use the stock shocks or try the 450 ones as I know there longer then the stock shocks Thoughts ?
  20. well here it is hard to get a good pic with the iphone but you get the idea
  21. going to be fitting it up in a couple hours so will throw some more pics up then they paint seems to have dried well and had no reactions so thats good
  22. thats a nice looking bike, seems to be alot of people using these fox shocks hopefully there is no complaints with them
  23. throw up some pics mate im keen to pull mine apart and paint it, seems like a shame though as there isnt a single scratch on my bike
  24. cheers guys she picked up pink shock covers too but is undecided if she wants to put a graphics kit on or not personally i would as there is still some scratches in the plastics that were a bit deep n a couple imperfections plus the stickers will protecht it a little, but at the end of the day its her bike
  25. cheers guys yeah the paint has a flex additive in it it took a morning to remove/sand/prep the plasticxs then the next morning until about 1pm to get them primed and painted all the materials cost $100 for everything got a mate that works at a automotive paint supply shop so got a good deal there ha ha
