  2. I should be able to make my adjustments there at the clutch lever correct? Or will I need to pull the cover? How much free play would I need?
  3. Starts first kick everytime and idles like a champ. Just stalls when put in gear. The clutch feels fine and the cable isnt loose or anything. I'm lost guys. I've never replaced the clutch or adjusted one so I don't know where to start. I'm gonna try starting it and pulling the clutch in and out like you said before trying to put it in gear. Hopefully that'll get it.
  4. ... My carbs are clean, and that has nothing to do with my clutch not holding. Any advice anyone?

The other day a buddy of mine wanted to go riding so I pulled out the Banshee and put fresh gas in it, fresh Bel-Ray, made sure the filters were clean, etc. The bike had not been moved in about 3-4 months. I do however go out and crank it up at least a couple of times a weak. Ok well while we were riding and we hit the first straight-away I had a hard time getting it to go into 4th, (took me about 3-4 tries) but after it went in I didnt have anymore problems. Yesterday I went out and was going to putt around the yard a bit andd after getting it warmed up I pulled in the clutch, went to first, and bam! Choked off. Tried several times and everytime Id go into gear with the clutch in the bike would choke off as if the clutch is doing nothing and it will not start in gear with the clutch pulled in. Can anyone help me out with this?

  8. Of what you mentioned I'd go #1....but: 4th option...If you wanted the best bang for your buck. Speak with some of the site sponsers and tell them what you want and just have a nice port job done. 5th option....What I'm going to do. Go ahead and go 4mil with ported stock cyls.

    Roy is a freaking beast man...I was never a huge fan of him either till i saw JDS beat the living shit out of him for 3 rounds and couldnt take him out...All the while Roy was still very dangerous. Dudes tough as nails and hits hard as shit.

  14. I was having issues with it smoking and heating up on one side more than the other. I have another thread about it. I changed my jets out from "drilled" 200 mains and stock 25 pilots to 310 mains and 27.5 pilots and the smoking seems to have came back and running good on that side. But the right side is still warming up faster than the left. I checked pretty much everything there is to check except the intake boots...So I'm thinking I may have a small crack on that side causing a lean condition and heating up faster. Not sure though, gonna check it out soon. Anyways, glad the compression is good...Guess the chick I bought it from was honest with me after all thank God:) Oh, and I'm at sea level Finch.
  15. I was having a few issues with my bike so I decided to check the compression. The lady I bought it from said it had just had a rebuild and only had about 10-12 hours on it. On the left cylinder I was at 120lbs and on the right cylinder I was at about 122 lbs? Are those numbers ok? Oh yeah, she said it was bored .65 over and has stock head.
  16. Ok, just finished checking the compression. I checked with the engine cold and held the throttle wide open. On the left cylinder I got dead on 120 lbs. The right cylinder read about 122lbs. Should they read even or is about 2 pounds difference ok? Is that where I should be compression wise, or did the previous owner shoot me a line of shit?

  18. I glanced over the boots and they seem to be fine. I guess I should take them off and give them a thorough inspection.
  19. Ok. Got the new 27.5 jets in and installed and just ran the bike. Believe it or not, but the bike is smoking out of the other side again pretty much like normal. But the damn right side is still heating up ALOT quicker than the left. Ordered a compression guage the other day and i picked it up this morning too. I just got done running the bike so after it cools down gonna check the compression just to see where it's at.

When I get my bike running right again, I'm going, yall are gonna make me look bad though, my shits all fucked up here and there and you alls shit looks badass lol....Did you all hear that they just sold Busco to some Pierce fella? Sold for 7.5 million smacks. Wonder if there will be any changes.
  21. Im got the 310s in and the 27.5s came in today. I cant say as to how it does yet, havent got the chance to try it....I'll probably be in the same boat as you though, lean. I think the 27.5 pilots will be spot on though. I'll let you know when I get around to testing it out.
