  1. Hi guys, Ok I did as you said, I warmed up the bike and did a run from idle to 6th gear, not sure if I maxed out 5th and 6th. Thing is I took the plugs out and this is what they look like. Before I chop them did I do miss something as they seem like they have hardly changed?
  2. Thanks for all the help guys, cant wait for tomorrow. I feel like a kid again!

  15. Hi guys, Havent introduced myself yet. Name is Eugene I live in South-Africa Johannesburg. 1500ft elevation I bought a 2006 Banshee 2 months ago with the following mods. FMF core2 pipes with phatty headers Airbox lid removed Tusk nerfs Ricky Stator plate with timing set at +4 Stock carbs with 270 main and 25 pilot jets and 1,5 turns out on airskrew TORS removed Plastics cut Some aftermarket rims not sure what they called Maxxis tyres Im new to 2 strokes so still learining. My other ride is a 2006 WRB Subaru STI.
  16. Thanks, im thinking of getting them in near future but from looks alone its hard to think that they make such a huge difference?
  17. Cleaned my carbs this weekend and when I put them back I had the same problem, turned out they were dirty and the air skew needed to be turned back in 1 half turn. (making them 1,5 turns out) Mine are stock carbs with mainjet 270, pilot 25, airbox lid removed, +4 timing ricky stator plate & stator, fmf phatty headers & pipes, 1500ft elevation, BR9ES plugs and a 40 to 1 mix on Yamalube.
  18. Hi anyone know why some reeds have different amount of flaps?
  19. thanks for the reply... since I made the post I spend a long time reading the stickys. Hat off to this link. http://www.dfn.com/agservices/elecfaq.html I did strip the carbs and cleaned them, but once fitted them back I started the bike and heard a strage noise coming from the flywheel like something was lose behind the cover... I took everything apart and yep, turned out the pickup coil was just dangling next to the flywheel by the wires... the two mouting skrews were not only lose but broke off the moutings they skrew into the stator plate. (which means it leaned against the flywheel and got smashed) At this piont I felt like shit... But this also means I can now invest in a adjustable plate and new stator with pickup coil from rickstator. Other than that I bout a new kickstarter and replaced the clutchcable, plugs, trans oil and cleaned the filter.
  20. Hi Guys, Newb here, with a question. I bought a 06 banshee recently and been reading and searching on the net trying to find/learn as much as I could. But the jetting/carbs and pipes are like a black art to me. From what I can tell the bike has FMF powercore2 silencers with phatty2 headers. Stock air filter, with holes cut into the lid. The bike does tend to hesitate under wot. And the longer I ride it the worse it gets. Question is what would be the correct jetting and 2s mix solution for this bike? Im at 1500ft elevation. Thanks!
