  1. Do you still have this for sale...
  2. aggressive dune port, Plus 4 timing, t5 pipes, k&n pods, and I'm at sea level. I just had it dyno tuned and it was running great all I did was change the reeds.....
  3. I did the plug chop before and after I changed the reeds. But I notice a bog now that I did not have before it seems to not want to rev as quick so I guess something is rich it sounds fine as long as you just rev it but when you put it under a load you can tell. I checked the pilot it doesn't seem lean I have the needle on the next to leanest clip and I notice the main is a good bit richer so I guess thats what it is...
  4. Thanks for the reply I did the plug chop just as you and everyone has described. The one on the right is after I installed the vf3 reeds and it seems to be alot richer on the main jet but somehow I lost color on the tip of the plug. That is were I get confused bc if it is richer shouldn't the top be colored more than the first one..
  5. Anything is better than nothing. I'm just confused as to why the first one has the brown at the top and the second one does not.. Am I lean in the needle? Should it even be brown on the top from one wot pass. I am pretty sure the second one is pretty rich on the main. Any advice would be great thanks....
  6. I am not sure I think it depends on which side you want to put the spacers maybe someone with more knowledge will chime in...
  7. Lol It only takes a second to do Not really anything to it.. They make a pretty good difference tho at least on my bike its dune ported and I had stock reeds.
  8. Little confused here I did a plug chop with stock reeds and then switched to vf3 reeds. The vf3 made my main jet richer but it seemed to lean my middle if I'm reading the plug right that is the top part of the porclin on the plug. As you can see The one with the stock reeds is alittle black on top of the plug and lighter at the bottom for the main jet.. The vf3 is darker and thicker at the bottom for the main jet and does not leave much on the top of the porclin is it just alot richer and washing it out or is it lean on the bottom and rich up top. It does have a little bog bc it made it a good bit richer. My main right now it 340 clip postion is one postion leaner. Any help would be great as I did not imagine it would change my jetting this much...
  9. There are two on each side and I just used a razor blade to cut them flush it was really easy.. I just installed the vf3 today and they do make a difference. I did a plug chop before and after and it made my setup a good bit richer I have a 340 main jet now and I need a 330 after installing the reeds so they do flow better for sure. It is pretty rich right now but still accelerates faster than it did before by a good bit. I'm going to race my friends 450r again soon and see how much quicker it is. With the stock reeds I was not at the top end of 6th gear at my drive way I ran a good distance same distance each time after the vf3 I was at the top end of 6th a pretty good distance from my drive way to they made the bike quicker for sure and I don't even have the jet dialed in right yet....
  10. Yes you can I believe a 421 cub bolt on is 80 without porting. But I'm not sure how you would handle 100 hp on a real trail the power band is going to be really strong. If I were you I would have a trail bike and a drag bike if you really like HP.
  11. Yes compression is the reason you do not want the charge to detonate to early so you use higher octane gas because it burns slower.. I believe 150 is pretty much the limit on pump gas but I could be wrong. Mine has 135 and I run 21cc domes. Hope this helps..
  12. Man your bike looks fine I really don't see what the problem is.... I think 3,500 is a good starting price for the bike and I really don't understand what the fight is about. I am pretty sure If you own it you can ask however much you want for it the last time I checked. I just bought a banshee and rebuilt it and I'm never selling it bc some idiot would probably say its worth about 2,000 after I just dropped 5k in it lol.. There are just so many people on this site that drop 20k in a bike and sell it for 4k that it makes it hard to get any of your money back. When I bought mine I had never been on this site so I did it the hard way. However when I buy another will be from here.. Why waste time and money when someone else will waste it for you and then you can buy it dirt cheap lol.... Well thats my rant I really wish people on this forum would grow up and stop acting like little kids. I'm sure the people talking the most shit want top dollars for there stuff when they sell it as anyone does...
  13. Yea man boost bottles are the shit.......... If you want to lose about 2hp and let it crack your intake boots and rebuild your engine...
  14. Yea I'm going to do a plug chop before and after just to be safe. Did you see any real difference in seat of the pants power.
  15. I got a brand new set of v force 3 reeds for Christmas. I'm going to take the stock reeds off this week and I'm going to race my friend who i am dead even with right now and see what gains these really give... I might even do a video of before and after. Let me know if anyone is interested in knowing and we will race from a roll with stock reeds and video it. Then I will change and check jetting and race again with the vf3 and video it so you can see the difference if any.....
  16. Its a 700 and we have all changed quads and rode it and raced. The 700 raptor is really slow. His bike is putting a hurting on it... I mean I can't even count the bike length just walks away from it.....
  17. After xmas I'm going to get some video of us racing so you guys can let me know what you think. I am thinking I have 60 hp and about 60 pounds heavier than the 450r with rider and bike weight together.
  18. Yes I'm thinking I have around 60 hp I'm going add some v force reeds since I have stock reeds in now and see if that will help. With the port work having more air flow maybe I can get a bike length on the 450.
  19. We raced with a 14 tooth in the front to start with and he put a bike length on me I changed to the 17 tooth and we where dead even we raced a bunch of times with both same outcome. I have 18 inch tires on the back and need the higher gearing to equal bigger tires.
  20. I did call thank you there are so many factors its hard to pin point one. Most people I have talked to seem to think since the 18 inch tire puts such a little foot print on the ground that I am just spinning. So trying to counter it with the big front tooth may not have worked to full advantage. Then alot of people say I need the right supporting mods like bigger carbs and the right pipes. To me with the setup I have I just can't believe we are even from a roll. I guess the little tires really are not working very well even with higher gearing.
  21. Listen I'm am not being cocky in any way I can ride pretty good I grew up with a banshee around. I am not saying this bike has 79 hp when I had it dyno tuned thats what the dyno said. When I built the bike it was just to race my friends 4 pokes and give them something to cry about lol.. One of my friends has this 450r that is not stroked but with his mods which are hrc, pipes, dyno box, lowering kit and maybe a few other little things from a roll they are dead even. Now on a longer race I will pull away but not in 300ft so I was just trying to figure out what to do to this stock stroke bike to make it get there quicker. I Weigh about 180 and I have no doubt that with a 120lb rider it would take his bike as is... We raced from a roll a good bit to try to take out the traction factor and as I have said they are even. I have check my plugs they are tan and I have a nology coil bike runs good so unless the 18 inch tires or just spinning the whole time even from a roll. Maybe the t5 are not letting the port work do its job I dunno. I thought just like all of you and thats why I built the banshee to kill the 4 pokes what I am finding out is yes the banshee can be faster no doubt but the 4 pokes just are not as much of a push over as they used to be...
  22. I promise my bike is ported brandon at wild card racing did an aggressive dune port that put 60 hp down on the dyno then I had craig at cp customs do more port work to the bike. The only thing I can think of is the little tires with the bigger front sprocket just isn't enough tire to the ground and its not hooking up good. Are the weight difference is whats doing it since the banshee weighs about 40 pounds more than the 450r but his bike does run pretty strong alot stronger than I thought it would..
  23. I have billet basket and a F.a.s.t racing clutch 6 hard springs with the ez pull clutch lever. I did air down a good bit I had 18 inch tires on but I put a 17 tooth front sprocket to counter the tire size and left the 41 tooth on back I also have a plus 6 swingarm and have timing advanced to plus 4.
  24. we raced mainly from a roll to take operator era out of it. I can ride wfo and shift fast as hell he can to. We changed bikes same out come. I have read that you need more hp in a two stroke to beat a 4 stroke and I am starting to believe its true. He raced a stock raptor with his bike and walked it by many many bike lengths his bike is pretty fast and we dynoed on the same dyno. His bike has 51 hp mine dynoed at 79 and we are dead even from a roll holding throttle down and flicking the shifter to shift fast on both bikes. The banshee weighs like 40 pounds more than the 450r and I weigh about 10 pounds more than my friend. I love the banshee but the 450r modded is really no joke. I guess I'll put some cpi pipes and 35mm carbs and see if the outcome changes. I mean to be fair I have a stock motor with a good bit of port work and he has put some money into his bike. Also we raced a bunch of times not just a few like 20 times and the same thing always happen. I have read many post about almost stock banshee beating 450 but I don't think those where ported, lowered, cammed, bikes. Unless the t5 and stock carbs are really holding me back its a tight race.
  25. Hi I have a stock stroke banshee with a dune port, t5 pipes, plus 4 timing, stock reeds and carbs, coolhead 21cc domes I'm at sea level. I have 340 mains and my bike has been dyno tuned plugs are tan. I have a friend with a honda 450r with the Honda racing cam, port work, lowering kit, dyna cdi. As of right now we raced all day on asphalt and in the dirt we are about dead even every race. We raced from a roll alot also to take as much driver era out of it as possible. So I'm wondering would say 35 mm carbs or Cpi pipes be the next big increase or maybe vf3 reeds. I would like to be able to put a couple of bike lengths on the 450r. If anyone knows what will make the difference please let me know.. I just had the motor rebuilt so I do not want to have to go back into the engine to make it a stroker. I know alot people say stock carbs are good with a stock stroke and some say t5 pipes are good also. So I would like to know if anyone has seen a big difference with carbs or cpi pipes on a stock stroke bike with port work thanks.. I'm not so much looking for hp number for each mod as I am actually performance. I would like to know if changing these things will make a noticeable difference thanks....
