  2. you forgot to mention it broke my entire frame off and had to find a shop to weld my frame back together in wild and wonderful west Virginia. Yea nobody buy these... got a video of chucking it over a mountain though
  3. Yea I heard some bad things about d&m but this motor gave me about 50 strong passes or so last year. I know Jeff will set me straight. He's a damn good guy and his motors run strong. What's the lowest compression you guys heard of anyone running a cub on alky? This being my first time with alky that's why I want to experiment with a motor that's already been used a bit.... that way if something happens its not that big of a loss.
  4. Honestly I'm not sure. I got the motor off a member on here. Motor was built by d&m racing in Arizona. They won't answer emails or return any of my calls. I ran the motor all last season... ran strong on gas. I understand I'm asking for answers and don't have all the info needed.
  5. I understand without knowing port timings And such its hard to estimate where you are going to be at.... just don't understand why its so drastically low
  6. . Yea I know .04 is a bit tight. but now I'm at .07. Elevation here is about 1100ft. I'll have to call him but he was dead set on giving me 25's because of my timing.
  7. Have 10 mil cub. Was on gas, stock milled head .04 squish, 156 compression in both cylinders. Converting to Alky so I ordered a noss head from Jeff at fast and had him cut me domes. I wanted to be around 170 psi or so. He said I needed 25cc domes. ( also running +10 timing) put it all together...... 125 psi in each cylinder. Don't know what I should do. Its strictly 300 ft quad. Oh and the squish now is almost .07

  11. Switching to alky. Never ran it before. Set up is a 10 mil cub with 39pwk's set up for alky. +10 timing. Got the carbs from a member on here. Have a noss head with 25cc domes that Jeff at fast cut for me. Dumps are at .125 and have a bunch of jets drilled ready to try. Carbs have a DGH needle in them. Should I try and tune with these needles? Or order different ones?

  13. Converting my cub to alky. One of the questions I had was I ordered a quick disconnect for easier purge process. The thing has a plastic insert and spring inside of the body where the alky would flow. Does this affect the flow at all? seems to me it would be very restrictive. Didn't want to start this up for the first time and starve it for fuel. It is a tusk brand btw.

  19. He must have really upgraded everything since then because mine is grade A no doubt, and im picky to detail. Its a tad pricey but if you figure, you dont have to ever put your grab bar back on, you are really getting 2 quality products. only thing im slightly concerned is the amount of weight im about to add to the stress of a circa 1998 frame with gas and beverages... but we shall see.

  21. There is a seller on ebay....mbast250r, that fabricates 6 pack racks with 3 pockets for gas cans/ coolers. It is also removeable with a pin, and leaves a very nice grab bar in place when not using the rack. Just wanted to give a shout out that its a nice product....perfect for long trail rides

  24. Main could be rich, but if you do need a 27.5 pilot that bog could possibly go away on the top end. Move your air screw to .5 turn out..... ride around give it a few minutes. If it runs better switch your pilot, if it runs like shit leave the 25 in there and comedown on your main. Jmo...... and your choke tube is connected right?
