  4. Man it seems real fat, the trinity 2 into one I had set up I ended up with a 158 main cel needle the pilot might have been a 52. Does your bike rev out? Sounds like the same guy built yours as the one I had here lol, it was my buddies bike, it went from me being able to wax him with my 450mxr to not after just re jetting his bike, his banshee originally had a fat ass jet in there too

  6. You can download the instructions that are updated from Athena http://www.athenaparts.com/eng/download it shows a picture of it, the instructions are half way down that page. Im really happy with the power mine has, it goes like hell compared to stock. I put 33 pwk carbs on too, +2 on timing.
  7. Seriously ... you didn't go to one singe automotive shop, you are not building a fence dude. Any automotive tool store, snap on dealer or mac dealer will have this.
  8. I ended up removing the square and peg, just used abut of paint on it. I never ride in mud or water so it will stay with the pods
  9. I sliced them at the frame with a Drexel, so they can be re welded easily if need be , they fit perfect now thanks Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  10. I'll cut them tomorrow , I just wanted to make sure that's what people were doing Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  11. Are guys just cutting them off? I don't want to wreck my filters or my frame Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. When I tried to put my k&n pod filters on, the stock air box mounts dig into the filters, but they are welded to the frame, what do I do?
  13. I removed the springs, they barely open, the carbs are brand new too, I found some nice ones on eBay that are a little longer and have a hex on the end, just having problems justifying shipping to me, unless somehow both my new carbs have the wrong screws? There soo soft too not even being forceful they are bendable , like boarder line rubber even Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  14. The plastic idle screws don't seem to open the slides at all, looking into the barrel they barely move when all the way in, its like they are bending or something?
  15. Going up to a tee makes sense, the only hose i had in the box had clamps on both ends. Im pretty down with blocking it to clean up the appearance abit though
  16. I have had this bike apart for a few seasons now and finally have the parts to put it together and for the life of me i cant remember where it was routed and what it hooked too. Cant find it in the manual either and parts micro fiche doesn't show it at all
  17. You only got a few hrs on without the water plugs?
  18. the rubber plug that goes into the very bottom of the cylinder doesnt seem to fit? the steel gaskets that came with it dont seem to fit well? the athena gasket is supposed to be .6mm thick, anyone swap in the stock one?
  19. I dont get how it could need rings and not a bore/pistons? Its probably a nice bike and doesnt deserve your hackery
  20. Its always the yamangucci valve on those you can only buy them from the dealer, the same thing happened to my kids bike.
  21. Muriatic acid wipes your melted pistion right off the cylinder, be carefull though getting it all over will be bad. i just put a little on a rag and wipes it right off
  22. that means your clearance was wrong not junk piston.
