  1. when i first started powdercoating i powdered my cylinders and clutch cover and theres one spot on the clutch cover that bubbled and hardened that way i dont really feel like sandblasting my aluminum parts again so im just going to go over them with some high heat gloss black just wondering what the toughest brand was
  2. i had it jacked up its coming from swingarm im not worried about it right now ill run it but its gona be fixed before i go to silver lake this summer
  3. i completely re did my banshee from the ground up last summer and i put all new bearings and bushings in everything and im not going into detail with everthing i did to it but the swingarm bushings are new and i havent rode the bike a whole lot since i put them in. The bushings and everything are from pivot works the swingarm bolt is tight axel bearings are good axel doesnt rock but when i step on the the bike and lean back and fourth theres some play in it
  4. the rubber thing that rubs on gas tank that slides on the plastic that goes around gas tank i need one pm me

  7. one thing i dont like about works shocks though is that if they have a resevoir its not connected to the shock so i would have to find somewhere on the frame to mount it it would be nice if raptor shocks would fit on it since they have a resevoir but im pretty sure they are a little taller
  8. my stock front shocks are leaking and are shot i plan on doing alot of jumping this summer and im going to silver lake sand dunes and will be hitting alot of jumps so instead of buying stock shocks i think i will just look for a used set of resevoir shocks how much do a used set of ohlins or works and i was wondering if ohlins and works are rebuildable?

  11. had a post a while back about my banshee not having spark i tried my cdi on my dads bike thats not the problem the coil i also tried and that wasnt the problem i hotwired the key switch so the key switch isnt the problem the tether is all hooked up right and grounds out like its suppose to the only other thing im thinking is the stator and the little coil by the flywheel found one on ebay for 63 bucks free shipping and has a one year warranty just wondering if theres a way to test it before i go ordering anything
  12. thanks for the info guys i think i will just stick with oem i hope its not a stator prolly just a coil it from running perfect to running like shit in the blink of an eye and from having weak spark to having absolutely no spark i cleaned all the grounds on it and everything so hopefully its just a coil
  13. my banshee has no spark im pulling the coil off my dads and trying it and if thats not the problem im trying his cdi just wondering if i do have to buy a new cdi or new coil should i get one from yamaha or get an aftermarket one?
  14. thanks ill have to take the time after school and go through it all i read on here someone had the same issue and they unplugged a ground and left it hang and then they had alot of spark
  15. heres the story i took a little cruise on the banshee a couple days ago i live a mile and a half out of town so i rode into town did a couple laps and headed home got 3/4 of the way home and shee just started running like shit just like it would if the gas had some water in it and i have the airbox eliminated running dual filters right off the carbs so i figured that was the problem i got almost in the driveway and it stalled it started right back up so i parked it and left it in garage today i poured some sea foam in it and let it sit it started first kick then died on me right away i checked the spark and there wasnt any i took the gas tank shroud and radiator shroud off and checked the wiring on my tether one of the crimps was loose so i re did both of them and wrapped them up in black tape good now it has very little spark and it doesnt spark every time i kick it but when it does theres barely any...im thinking cdi box?
  16. i put the head on today and rode it with the 310s it runs good now never got to check plugs because every time i went to run it the clutch cable fell off idk why its a brand new cable but before it was running way rich in low end now it runs perfect gona check the plugs tomorrow out on the ice if i can figure my clutch cable out
  17. i got some 240 main jets laying here and i have 310s in it and its running way too rich i just worked on one with the same pipes as mine and had 220s and it ran good i checked the plugs they were brown but i also have a chariot head with 19cc domes and boyseen reeds and im running dual k and ns right off the carbs so my question is...should i even try using these jets?

  19. i ran the bike today the oil level was perfectly level where it was suppose to be on the dipstick rode it for 15 20 minutes didnt burn any oil i think its something in the top end seeing as it doesnt burn any tranny oil and i went through the carb twice and tried different carbs im thinking either he put a piston in backwards when he rebuild the cylinder is messed up or its got a stuck ring

  21. shoulda got chariot heads i got one the other day and it looks awesome with the chrome achorn nuts suppose to be a pretty good head too
  22. i talked to the kid today he wants me to fix it this thing needs so much work theres bolts missing everywhere track headlights are welded onto it theres just so much that was rigged up case is also broke by where the stator cover goes the chain must of broke and hit it
  23. friend brought his bike over for me to work on i had it running in about 5 minutes after testing the compression and changing the spark plugs the right side is running really rich smoking and stuff pulled the carbs cleaned them found no problems with them put them back on and its still running bad any ideas? also checked reeds and they were good
