    Fox Floats

i assume this is on a banshee? how much air did you run, and do you oreder a different size, i dont know that you have to with the fox just asking, ive been thinking about trying these myself, 80% drag 20% dune bike. thanks for any input.
  2. what carbs are you talking about?
  3. nm i see 20cc dome, i assume sc, if your around the same temp try a 155-152 and see if it cleans out,
  4. what temp are you riding in? im at sea level with a 160 main, this is at about 55-65 deg. what size motor, domes, ect. i would say try a 155 158 and see if it gets better, put new plugs in and check them. once you get it to run clean on the top end you may want to start with the needle in the middle clip and tune it again as well.
  5. If your not going longer then +4 on the swingarm i would stay with 8 paddles, maybe 9. a +6 arm is really not that bad, i have had a +4 and +6 the plus 6 was perfect for hill climbing at coos bay. never had it in windy bay had the 421 and a +10. anyway you hitting dunefest in aug? GO DUCKS!!!!
  6. Im also running a cel needle, the needle you use will affect your jetting as well
  7. Well every bike in our group, about 8 cub bikes are 160-162 mains, 35pwks and 39 pwks, and they are jetted for 55-65 degree weather, maybe your air is different over there?, like i said we are all alittle fat as well, all these bike vary from unported to full ported. the one that is tuned on the dyno is at 162 main 55 pilot. weather, humidity, corrected altitude all effect jetting. if i ran a 178 main in my bike it would never clear out. thats not to say thats not what works best in the big apple, thats just what works on the coast in oregon.
  8. sea level to 400-500 feet, no there is no porting at all on my bike.
  9. When i went to 39s it was the exact same jetting as my 35s, 160 main 52 pilot, plugs look perfect. im on the oregon coast. Im going to try a 158 and 50 pilot this weekend if its 65 deg or above, was alittle fat during the day and sandfest, but boy did she run up the hill at night
  10. what elevation and temp were you at with the 48 pilot and 155 main? just curious, im at sea level about 50-65 deg. im running 160 main 52 pilot, both may be a tad fat. stock 421 cub no porting what so ever, and yea they rip like that
  11. very true, settup is huge you dont just throw a motor in a bike and have it be as fast as it can be, lockout,clutch,swingarm,gears,shocks.....RIDER(lol) all play a part in a fast bike
  12. well halfway threw summer i was sure we would have a report from some of the guys that got them during the winter and were waiting to run them, bummer

    What size rims

huh? they are talking about the width of the wheel are they not? 7 inch wide wheel all the way!!
  14. yea the pipes are no good on that motor
  15. SOOOOO? the verdict is?......
  16. what times and mph is it running?
  17. Thats plenty of gear, is your clutch slipping? to much tire spin? you have a lockout? you shouldnt run out of gear with 15/42. i didnt even hit 5th most the time with 15/43 gearing.
  18. i run 22s, but i can tell you 14/41 is not going to work launching in second gear, maybe like a 14 /44-45 may get you close.

    Sand Prep

I dont know what you ride on, but you may need to re gear the bike alittle depending on how soft the sand is where your going, from dirt to paddles and sand is a big diff.
  20. Thats hard to do when people live 8-10 hours away, and they hold the public forum at the north bend library, they dont get on a blow horn and tell you what they are up to either. But surrender is not a option.
  21. Please tell me these great things the forest service is doing for outdoor recreation, I think of it more as the great things your doing for your own interest, but ill check back for your take on the great things your doing for us ATV and outdoor people.
