  1. I'm interested in the On - Off / Headlight switch. Is this part of the 94 electrical (which should be the same as a 91 I believe)? Also do you have any more photos of it? Looking to replace mine with a unit that's nicer looking because mine is sun faded.
  2. Purple power cleans great... but be careful... it will etch bare aluminum and can discolor some things. I'd personally go the kerosene/diesel route and de-greaser.
  3. Oops... I did mean hubs, not spindles. I already have a lonestar Axle that is +1 to +3, putting me at 39" on the axle overall. I was just thinking about gaining a little additional width and that these may do it. I was just thinking along these lines because my 250R +4 axle measures in at around 41" Unless this extra width is not really necessary for the banshee handling. I just dont really ride tight woods with the banshee(have my warrior for that) and that I'm setting up the bike for more open trails/ fields/ mx. Kinda just an open ground play bike. Thanks for the link zilla... those are the ones I am talking about.
  4. Awesome, that makes things easier and cheaper. Are there any shims/spacers needed to run the calipers? Also do you use the banshee rotor or does that need to change?
  5. Hey Everyone, Not looking to start a big shindig over the yfz conversion... I know there is an entire ongoing thing about that. I just wanted to know before I go ahead and buy anything... Do I need yfz spindles to work with the yfz calipers? I want to run the 450 calipers for the added braking ability. I'm not going to go with YFZ arms, and plan instead on going with a set made for the banshee to ensure that its the strongest possible setup should I hit a mx track with it. Also if I need the yfz spindles, will running them mess with any of the steering geometry or mounting, or do the spindle locations all work out the same? Another thing I heard was that the 09+ yfz rear spindles will add a little extra width. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks

    Stock Subframe

Bending or a new frame... sometimes you can find a complete frame for pretty cheap

    Stock Subframe

the frame and subframe on a banshee is all one unit...
  8. There is one for sale on craigslist about 2 hours from me... http://southjersey.craigslist.org/mcy/2382187377.html
  9. Awesome, just wanted to double check. Thanks
  10. Just curious, were there ever any changes to the frames themselves from 91 on up? I thought I read in somewhere that in 92 they changed something with the drive chain routing from 91 but I wasn't sure if this is true or anything else?
  11. Alright, So I'm looking to plan out what I am going to do with my banshee motor and attempt to get the best performance while still running pump 93 gas (don't really want to run race fuel due to the prices, and this is more of a fun bike, not a full blown race bike). Anyway I'm trying to set my banshee up for aggressive trail and some MX track play. I know suspension is key and that is coming first, but I figured in the mean time I may be able to plan the motor build and maybe buy some parts in the process. To begin with, I want to get my crank trued and welded mainly for longevity, and was thinking of going with a long rod setup just to increase reliability. But pretty much I have a clean slate with my build on where I can go. I do know I want to run pro circuit pipes, as they are what I already have and many people on here have said they are a good all around pipe. What else could I do to compliment them? And yes I will be getting the motor ported as well. I'm looking to build this motor as a matched package (I know that if you just buy parts and mix match the results will be less than desired). Thanks
  12. I have a DG bumper if you're interested in one of those
  13. Put me 2nd in line pending pics...
  14. If thats a rear brake caliper and it works fine and doesn't leak I'd be interested in it if you would ship it (i'd pay shipping of course)
  15. Got a set of pro circuit pipes today... still looking for the other parts.
  16. Interested in the shifter and brake lines. PM sent
  17. Here are some photos of the hoses that nasty sent me. I know I'm down for 2 sets http://img846.imageshack.us/img846/5067/22018427.jpg http://img821.imageshack.us/img821/5717/75532659.jpg http://img200.imageshack.us/img200/7991/40938456.jpg http://img38.imageshack.us/img38/5390/94034470.jpg http://img199.imageshack.us/img199/9713/37066085.jpg
  18. Hey Everyone, So I have to replace the lower seals in my banshee motor and am kicking around ideas on what / if i should do anything to build the motor while I rebuild and refinish the bike. I know suspension is key to speed and endurance so thats my main focus first before motor work. But anyway I am looking to build a bike for aggressive trail / mx (not full out mx because i have my 250R for that) but really just a bike to have fun with off the track, and on the track should I decide to use it. I am not looking to build a drag bike. Anyway I figured since I have the bottom end apart I should get the crank checked out and if anything trued and welded (I prefer to do things right the first time, especially while I have them apart so there are fewer concerns). Now would it be worth going with a 370cc setup, and is this the 4mm rod stroker that everyone talks about? You'll have to forgive me because I am still new to the whole banshee thing. But anyway would this be too much motor for what I'm doing? Also what is the average cost for this setup? If its not really good for my application, I'll probably just do the standard rebuild and go with some porting, bolt on's (PC pipes, reeds, carbs, etc), and call it a day. I just was thinking with the stroker it would give me a more useable powerband rather than the peaky typical banshee one where its more on the pipe. Anyway, I'd appreciate any input and info so I can be steered in the right direction with my project/build/rebuild, and so I can do things right the first time. Thanks
  19. For the A arms I'm looking for either lonestar, laeger, stellar, or wicked... Would prefer long travel +3 +1 setup, but still interested in other setups.
  20. Should also include a set of pro circuit pipes & silencers
  21. So after looking at A-arms, I'm curious as to how much of an effect does a +1 forward setup have over a +0 (stock) on handling for the banshee? I've read that on some bikes it makes them push, and some it can make them turn better. Which works better on the banshee? I'm looking to set mine up for a mix of trail and mx
