  3. Thanks for all the help guys i figured it out and ordered new rollers, they will be here friday and hopefully this weekend I can get my new serval out on some trails! Thanks.
  4. I have the swingarm chain guide and the chain support, do the rollers just bolt on to the frame? The old chain didnt have rollers at all so that is why im confused about it. A picture of it would be awesome if someone has one.
  5. The gearing is stock 14/41. Thanks for the help.
  6. The swing arm bearings are new as well the sprockets. Im in the process of finishing a rebuild on the bike. I dont have a chain roller I dont think. I have a chain guide on the top of the swingarm and a plastic guide the chain goes through that bolts on the bottome of the arm. Do I need a roller, it never had one with the old chain?
  7. I have a stock swingarm and stock gearing on my banshee. I ordered a 104 link oring chain and it is a little too long, isnt 104 link supposed to be the right length for a stock banshee? Also if I have to shorten the chain what is the best way to do it.
  8. Is there only on clip per bearing or is there two on each bearing
  9. Im in the process of putting my cases back together and was wondering how many retaining clips are on the transmission bearings? Im talking about the clips that go into the groves in the cases. I only have one on the bigger bearing and was wondering if there should be 2.
  10. I did a clutch and springs last year and have only rode it a few times so I'm reusing that clutch, a stock clutch wouldnt last too long with a serval i dont think. What kind of trans mod do you are you talking about? I mostly trail ride and Andy from M and M said that stock trans should hold up but I may need to replace the clutch more often.
  11. thats what i had thought but the cylmers says you have to remove the external shift mechanism. I think they mean the shift lever and shift star but since im not pulling the transmission apart I didnt think I needed to pull all that stuff. Anyone had the screws that hold the half moon bearing holder in not want to come out.
  12. I'm in the process of spilting my engine to install a new crank and serval. I have a few questions as this is my first banshee tear down. Do I need to remove the external shift mechanism to spilt the cases? I dont plan on pulling out any of the transmission, just putting in a new 4mm crank.
  13. How far in do I need to install the swing arm bearings? Do they stay flush with the outside of the swing arm or do I need to knock them into the lip on the inside of the swing arm?
  14. Yeah it sucks the motor was .20 over but I have only had it a few months, looks like time for some new cylinders.
  15. No the piston looked like it was on there right, the engine was running fine I was tearing it down to get it ported and put a stroker kit in it.
  16. Just pulled my engine apart and in the right cylinder the is 2 really deep groves in on the wall. I was wondering what could cause this and is it fixable. I posted the best pic i could get with my cell.
  17. I started the tear down today got the engine out and took the top end apart. Gotta get some tools for the flywheel and the clutch basket. Im going to have HJR do the cylinders he seems like a great guy to work with. I will let everyone know how it goes. Thanks for the info guys.
  18. Yeah I thought alot of guys run this. Im going to have HJR do the porting and I have all the bolt on stuff alreay. Have 30mm carbs and pro circuit pipes.
  19. Thanks, I already have the cylmers and was reading through it, dosnt seem too tough. And im getting the tools.
  20. Just wondering if anyone has run a 4 mil stroker crank with stock cylinders ported to match, the setup from herr juggs. Was wondering how power this adds and how it was for trail riding. I have pipes, reed, and carbs to match the setup.
  21. Yeah I thought plus with an extra 500 I can afford if I run into any issues. I was thinking about the athena kit that wicked has. I already have a cool head I can reuse, just need to get new domes. But Im going to call around to other sponsers and see what they suggest. thanks
  22. Im really thinking about a 421 stroker kit for my banshee. Just wondering how tough the install would be. Im a boat mechanic by trade and have all the tools I would need I just never tore into a little two stroke before. I figured by the time I ship out the motor and pay someone to install it, I would be in it 500 to pay someone to do it and it would take about a month. The only thing I was really worried about is matching the cases and installing the crank. My engine runs fine now just ready for an upgrade.
  23. Does anyone make a nice stock length replacement swingarm?
  24. Quick question, the bottom tabs on my swingarm are both bent in just a little bit. Will this mess up the rear end alginment? The top tabs are straight.
  25. Cool thanks im just going to change the bearings and sprocket to be safe, I have only had the bike for a few months and dont know if the bearings have ever been done. Do you know what sprocket size would be good for trail riding?
