  1. ^ that dozer/tractor/crawler in the backround is awesome !
  2. fixed. front suspension/spindles and wheels just sitting there (just to make sure these no more fuck ups, with the front suspension at least). started going through my other parts for assembling the engine and gave up as i seen alot more shit that i need to get/spend money on
  3. Im not sure if subframe is bent or just angle of photo? Either way ill never find just a frame forsale over here and theres only been 1 bike forsale online in the last 4 months and they want $3200 and its a piece of shit. Would be better off invading the states and setting up camp haha
  4. looks like the inner tabs were just welded on, the gussets on the outer tabs match the pics i have seen, defiantly a a-arm frame, even if it has a tweaked subframe it dosnt worry me too much at this stage as i wont be finding a replacement anytime soon, they are hard to come by over here. can always swap the good shit onto another frame if i ever get my hands on one. this build has been a bit of a pain in the ass really
  5. Too many wheelies ya reckon?
  6. Not sure maybe camber adjustment. Not keeping a-arms anyway but seems ill just cut the extra tabs/mounts off. Wasnt sure on it as the banshee i had before this had the same set up but with nicer a-arms. Didnt know if it was a different style frame etc
  7. Hey all, I bought this banshee last year to make up for the last one i sold and have regretted selling. I am doing a ground up rebuild. I have just received some Alba +2 +1 long travel a-arms and the fitment on the arms is different to what i have removed from the banshee. Is my frame the issue (not a stock frame?) or do i just have the wrong parts? I have contacted Alba so am waiting to hear back. Not living in the USA has been a pain in the ass for getting parts and when ya do get them and they are wrong it sucks so any help is appreciated. Heres a pic of the Alba a-arms next to the a-arms i took off the bike.
  8. Modding quads isnt huge over here, yeah ill see what i can do with keeping most of the engine components with one builder etc. Are alba long travel a arms all good?
  9. cheers dude, ive got no issues assembling the motor but if the cases will need modifying etc to match the cylinders then thats another problem too. just a shame that everything i want is on the other side of the world, maybe just pack my tools up and find a job in the states and move over is easier haha
  10. ^ what old school said haha, dont turn this into the trinity page just yet haha. cheers for the replies so far, so the questions i have to your replies are is a lock up necessary or dose a HD clutch do the trick ? ditch the ricky stator and go OEM ? why is a roundhouse swinger better than stock carrier? if maier plastics fit like shit what other options are there? i am wanting the factory look. the other option is to build up a rolling frame and wait untill a motor comes up for sale just like what Sprinklerman had forsale. only thing with a 2nd hand engine is the fact that its 2nd hand. could always send my cases over to kan or fast or redline etc and say build a motor and send it over etc but yeah..
  11. cheap is not good, spend the cash and do it once and do it right. i dont want it to fall apart when im tanking it down a forestry road at 120km +
  12. yo dudes just after some input on a shopping list ive got going for my shee build, its going to be a trail bike and a mx play bike (not mx competition). im not in the USA and theres no aftermarket parts for sale here so i need some input for some good quality brands, as i dont want to ship from overseas and find ive bought paper mache crap. pretty much put this list together from looking at whats available and price and what has been said about parts on here. wanting input from experience too please and thank you. other bits i need to suss out will a heavy duty clutch do or is a lock up going to be needed? decent mx swing arm? ALBA suggested fox shocks for their long travel a-arms any other good options? any benefit of a round house carrier over stock for swing arm ENGINE KAN MOTORSPORTS 421 several kit,crank(trued/welded),pistons,rods,cool head 35mm pwk carbs (includes throttle cable) cpi inframe pipes & mufflers MULL ENGINEERING billet max flow alloy waterpump impellor billet alloy water pump drive gear F.A.S.T RACING flywheel Ricky Stator 200 Watt assembly w/adjustable plate V-FORCE 4 REEDS PINGEL FUEL VALVE JDS CUSTOMS Aluminum Oversized Radiator TRANSMISSION F.A.S.T RACING CLUTCH PANCAKE BEARING REAR LOWER CHAIN GUIDE UPP CHAIN SLIDER front sprocket rear sprocket billet kicker billet shifter MULL ENGINEERING billet shift star shift detent bearing mod SUSPENSION & STEERING ALBA Yamaha Banshee 350 Adjustable Long Travel A-Arms +2+1 Anti-vibe billet stem clamp BRAKES individual front brake lines upgraded callipers and rotors - yfz450 04/05 CHASSIS & GENERAL ALLOYBOLTZ 635pc polished stainless kit MAIER front, rear, rad cover, tank cover F.A.S.T RACING Thumb Throttle Extender EBAY XFR r1 nerf bars http://www.pivotworks.com swing arm bearing kit rear wheel bearing kit front wheel bearning kit steering stem bearing kit
  13. also keen on headlights if realtree bails
  14. haha that would be trippy to spot, hey dmc do you have any videos out recently? i havent been on here in ages
  15. that looks easy enough to build, street legal banshee! that would be the shit, but what first bought me here was the title of the post, i thought it was going to be a 6pack beer/jack Daniels holder, i am very disappointed haha
  16. haha yeah i tried to edit before and nope, no can do by the looks, so remember not to fuck it up forst time haha
  17. this is awsome, imagen seeing this thing coming towards you with 2 rooster tails out the back and screaming along thinking "who the fuck and what the fuck is done to that lawn mower"
  18. ahh sweet, ill have a look through their site, i was also thinking how much it would cost getting a banshee from AUS as i see you have a few for sale over there and mostly later model ones, as the ones here are mostly early 90's and worn out beaten up and the plastics painted matt black
  19. unsure what our octance equates to over here, can get race gas 100octane or something like that but is good hour and half drive which makes if a pain in the arse if you just want to go for a hoon randomly on days off
  20. cant be me, never had a toymods account, well never activated anyway haha
  21. oh and fuel will just be 98 or 95 octane as it will be the easiest to get my hands on, race fuel isnt easy to get where im living
  22. awsome post whore mode is on haha, cheers for the reply fellas, ill start having a look into a budget for the motor, and get a average price of the bikes going for sale over here and then add in suspension and extras, would want to get some nerf bars, extended axle and a-arms, throw new bushes etc around and make it better than it would be from new, would most likely need sprokets and chain aswell, i might have a traul through the sponsers section and see whats about. thanks heaps might wait untill exchange rate is to my advantage then strike while the iron is hot and hopefully the freight wont be too bad
  23. yo whats up everyone, i havent been on here in ages, its pretty much 1 year now that i have not been in possison of a banshee or any dirt bike and its depressing, sooo, im going to get another banshee, this is the last one i had and was awsome ... http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=139068#entry1201483 .... im from new zealand and the ones we have over here are pretty worn out and beaten up so will probably end up getting a crappy old one and rebuilding it from the ground up unless i can source one from the states for a decent price including shipping. either way i want it to be faster and more powerful than my last. so first question is complete stroker engines... where the best to go for these, only ones ive found are trinity racing, and then unsure of what type to go for as theres cheetahs, cheetah cubs, supercubs, wampus, serval etc do these come as complete engines ready to go or am i using my own casing and stator and clutch assyemblys etc? theres not much in the way of details on the trinity site next question is, what sites are you using for 2nd hand sales the likes of Ebay for bike purchases? i mainly ride through hilly foresty conditions, farm land, lake sides, rivers as thats where all the trail rides are over here, no sand dunes etc which is a shame so any idea of what size stokers would be good but i am under the impression of bigger is better haha ill have more questions as i think of them and will throw them at you so thanks in advance, look foward to hearing your comments and getting back into it oh and also how the hell do i post into the shout box?
