  1. Check this out for a good read. http://klemmvintage.com/mikuni-tuning.htm
  2. 9 years? Got your money's worth on those rings.
  3. Garrod. Any update on your banshee? Have you done a leak down test?
  4. You should keep the t3s. Rare pipes in my opinion. Good power too. Love mine. But I also understand why you want a new set, they were developed a while back.I would hope companies have come a long way with banshee pipe R&D.
  5. Great! Glad it worked out for you. Now you have some tuning to do. Oh and since your running at 140psi make sure your running mid grade or premium gasoline. Here's some great info that another forum member found: http://klemmvintage.com/mikuni-tuning.htm
  6. You can rent a compression tester at most auto parts stores. Heck back In, near the front door, and just tell them your doing the test in the parking lot and you may not have to actually rent it. But you do need to do a compression test asap.
  7. Clean the plugs with a simple brush and something like carb cleaner. But a simple brush should do the job. Reinstall the plugs then try to fire it. Pull the plugs and if they have gas on them, then you know fuel is getting to the cylinder. If it is, reconnect the plugs and ground them on the spark plug holes of the cylinder, so they contact bare metal, then kick it over and see if your getting spark. This procedure will eliminate some simple fixes. Keep us updated and we will try and help best we can. Are you on business or something? Why are you keeping the banshee in the back of your tuck?
  8. Nice. Thanks for posting. It will give the newbs a good read
  9. 87s for life!!!! Keep up the good work. Atleast your having fun and livin the life! Keep upgrading and keep riding! A set of steller j arms would look nice. I love mine!
  10. I've seen a "dyno graph" somewhere comparing a stock banshee then with vf4s. Can't remember where i saw it. apparently it adds noticeable power. Look around and you may find it.
  11. I would not do anything until you know what your compression is. With 19cc domes at 1500 feet your looking at around 160 psi. Here is a compression chart to look at for reference. http://www.nossmachine.com/banshee_heads.htm Compression test will tell you how healthy the engine is, as well as what octane fuel to run. Then Research "plug chop" and that will tell you where to start with jetting.
  12. Also did you check to make sure the choke tube got reinstalled between the 2 carbs. There are so many variables with banshees.
  13. Maybe the motor has been running rich and the plugs have fouled. Pull the plugs, take a picture and post it here. Also make sure you haven't over looked something simple. Key on, ignition switch on, and double check your gas selector. You stated that carbs are getting fuel. How do you know? Do you have clear fuel lines or did you check the carb bowls?
  14. Your on the banshee forum! You should get more banshee vids! There's already alot of vids of guys just cruising the dunes. We want to see something diff!
  15. My problem ended up being a bad flywheel key, which ended up throwing my timing way out of wack. Check your flywheel key.
  16. Newcs222. Make a post in the "want to buy section". I'm sure you'll have better luck
  17. No lie. During the rebuild of my banshee. The motor was running in reverse, i assume. I actually rode it in reverse. NO LIE. I could change gears and everything. Wish I had a video.
  18. Ninethreeshee: Do your research. If I were you, I would buy used. Yea they may not have that showroom shine, but if you continue to trail ride, they are going to get dirty. I would look into toomey t-5s and I would defiantly consider getting Paul turner mid range pipes.
  19. I've done I good but of research on the t3s. There's not alot of info on them. I've been meaning to find a dyno in my area. But I don't think the local bike shop would build anything to run a quad on theirs. If you look close, I have a set of steller Js on mine. +2 +1
  20. Any pics of plastics painted with the krylon fusion paint?
  21. I'm running t3s. Still messing around with some tuning. They are very loud, but I'm sure the silencers need repacking. As far as power, couldn't help you much, mine previous banshee wasn't bored like the current one is. You dont see many t3s any more that's for sure.
