    No wonder sponsors can't get motors back for 6 months. Doesn't anyone put their own shit together anymore? I had never worked on a quad before in my life and i built my 4 mill serv. I just used the walkthrough that bigred posted. It's not rocket science. Use quality parts take your time and clean everything.

    You sure you had the choke tube I connecting the two carbs? Clean the crap out of your filter and carb and spray cleaner through your jets.

    You should take the gas tank and pipes off then take off your head and take pictures of the pistons and post them on here. You can upload them to photo bucket and post the links that would be the easiest way.

    Yeah buddy if all you want is to get her running again a new "top end" is just pistons rings and bore. If you have a machine shop around they could probably bore it out for you if you ordered a piston kit and gave them the pistons.

    Post pictures if you want help. Please for the love of what ever God you believe in post pictures. You don't know what kind of carbs you have and you are asking us to help you fix it. We need to know what we are working with here.

    I know it tough to have all this down time but if it's grooved that bad I would rather wait for the basket now then to have to take everything apart later.

    Clean the carbs. Take pictures of everything load then to photo bucket and link them here so we can get an idea of what you have. You should also drain the gas and mix up some fresh just in case. You never know what you're getting into when you get something someone else has had a hand in.

    Take the cap that is on the end of your spark plug wire off your left spark plug. Put it on your right spark plug and the one from your right spark plug on the left. This will let you know if the problem is in one of your wires. If the side that is not working right changes you'll know the problem is in your plug wires

    Swap your sparkplug caps and see if it is still running on the same cylinder
