  1. and for the gaskets that you need. you will want to replace all of them to just buy a top end gasket kit. comes with everything you need.
  2. k well you are off to a good start. if you are looking for bolt on mods, i would invest in some v force reeds, or boyeson reed petals to fit on your stock cages. and a cool head or milled and rechambered stock one. if you are willing to spend money on porting that would be the ultimate way to go and will be convenient while you have your jugs off.
  3. to save yourself some money, you could get your stock head milled and rechambered instead of buying a cool head. check out mull engineering. porting will give you some more umph. but if you dont want to go that far. then reeds, and cutting out the airbox and running pods with an aftermarket exhaust system will do wonders.

PORT IT PORT IT PORT IT! i was like you and never really wanted to take my cylinders off and do internal work. i figured the best i could do with gearing and intake mods would be fine. but will all of these 4 strokes and their fancy electronic crap, i couldnt keep up anymore. so i got it ported and my timing advanced by 4 degrees. good lord it is a beast now. no one expects it, but it rips hard. great performance, prices, and customer service over at HJR. havent heard a single bad thing about any of the sponsors though.

  7. sounds like their mid to top is damn near awesome, but i like to do i lot of jumping and wheelies in the dunes. will i be sacrificing any of that with a set of shearers? mods in sig.
  8. sorry for not replying for such a long time, but the porting and the t6's and advanced timing are supposed to have given me over 60 hp. and it is a killer ride. can hardly keep the front end down and it hauls ass now. my dads suzuki ltr450 no longer even stands a chance, and before he would win pretty much every race. so i am super happy with it, but just like everyone else, i want MORE. haha.
  9. i have a 340 main on my hjr dune port but i have pod filters, and t 6's. not sure on pilot and needle cuz they never needed to be changed
  10. thank you. yours seem fairly glossy and not dulled by dirt and water. i pretty much ride nothing but dunes. so do you thing they would stay glossy?
  11. wanna see how look applied on the quad. also, do they hold their glossiness or do they get stained with dirt and water like the stock pipes do? i am wanting to blackout my banshee a bit, but dont know if this pipes will be a shiny or dull black. thanks ahead of time for any input

  14. i'm not an expert on porting by any means. Well not at all actually. but i have a dune port by herr jugs racing and it is flat out amazing. insane power everywhere. i hear great things about every company you just mentioned, but Kevin at HJR does amazing work and he is a great guy to deal with. and his turn around is quick, prices are good also. i have too much good things to say about him. but like i said from what i have heard you wont be disappointed from any services from the ones that you mentioned.
  15. i tinkered around with things and had a chance to break it in a little today and the problem has faded away 100% im still going to invest in a compression gauge though. thanks for all the input guys.
  16. where do i purchase a compression gauge? if you guys have not noticed, this is my first rebuild of any bike.
  17. i just rebuilt my top end, eliminated the tors, and advanced my timing +4. and the left cylinder's compression is lower than the right, or at least it sounds and feels like it through the exhaust. i have switched the plugs and caps. any suggestions????

  19. Haha good point. I was going to ask him, but i just wanted some input from some different perspectives. it's just a little thought at this point. I dont really need anymore power with kevin's work already done to it, and the +4 timing but ill have the money soon, so why not if it will help, you know? im just not too serious on it yet.
  20. HJR dune port, oh and i ride pismo a lot and glamis sometimes. i love to dune it up and jump, basically the works, but i like to win me a drag race or two also.
  21. I already have my t6's on my banshee, but i was wonderin if the cpi's would unleash even more power? if not then i will spend my money on makin it look sexy.
