I didn't bother testing it when I seen the stud broke. The plugs looked good as you can see, I couldn't find any cracking of the sort. I was leaning towards something other than deto but knew that involved tearing down so was hoping for the easy way out. The last motor was melted due to overheated on a drunk in night. Not much carnage just the rings melted to the piston and smoked the nikasil, so I didn't both to clean the pipes out. Just dump upside down. I appreciate the info guys and will be back hopefully tomorrow with the root of the evil. After I tear the rest of it down. Thanks joe

Well after melting my first as cast 421 cub, i put a weekend on this new top end as cast 421, somebody noticed a stud was broken on the stator side, along with i thought it wasnt running right well that was y. Well i tore it down to replace the stud and found this on the clutch side of the motor. Squish was .37-.38(which i know is tight) kicking psi 150. I was mixing some 112 with 93 Looks like something was flying around in there but everything else seems fine. The left side dome has some very very very small marks. From the pics i researched on here detonation is usually the whole piston and dome, but i cant find anything blown apart. Also since the cylinder was off i was kicking around a serval cylinder, the light switch power for hills if fun but a fuckin pain in the balls to work with. Is it better to port cub for more mid or port a serval for a lil more top end. Im looking for a in between. Also running straight pump Any input is appreciated Thanks Joe

my yfz and cheetah has a gforce with a axle nut just like the one you previously posted jd, i can take pics if you would like, Also i just put a used durablue on my cub and it does NOT have the allen bolt in the locking nut.

i have a 421 as cast cub short rod, with 24cc 11 degree, just out of the box domes, .38 squish, 150psi, kicking comp +4 timing, v3's with 34mm mikuni carbs with cpi inframes mixing a lil bit of race fuel, and its a beast at the top end. But there is no low or mid.. Its a dog on the bottom end. when i first got it i loved how explosive it was and loved riding it. Now idk if its me or im just geting lazy but to climb hills i have to clutch the balls out of it when it comes off pipe, really starting to not be so happy with it. But for the street i think it would be fine just blowing through the gears and putting around u should be fine, thats my .02 cents.

ya i got the shitty end of the stick, would like to beat him with the swinger. and i know im chubby special06. That fucker knew what i weighed and what use it was for and i ordered in 1'' tubing and it came in 3/4'' tubing. the he told me i would be fine.

He had his swingarms listed for mx, trails, hills, dune, drag, etc. I should have took pics of his website but the fucker appearently closed it down. I sent a email, no reply, called and left messages no call back or and response at all. I bought it back in April 2012 and it sat on the shelf after powder for a while but the first ride was October 2012. With only trail riding and hill climbing maybe 20 rides and it broke, i couldnt figure out how it held up to mx. So im out 500 bucks,400 swinger, 50 bearings, 50 powder and my time and inconvience. Also the money, time, bearings, powder etc to replace it. Welp thanks for the fucking ya gave me!
