  1. I know Ron. He's one of my sponsors. Great guy. Does alot for the atv asphalt draggers. Gives any atv asphalt dragger that needs American Racer tires at dealer cost. He's does right for the sponsored riders. Fuel money. Great prices on parts. There's 3 other members of this site that is a sponsored rider on Planet Asphalt. If wasn't for Ron. I wouldn't be on the drag show Pass Time next month.
  2. Thanks for the pictures. That is a easy fix. Do a sprocket hub mod. All the old school atv drag motor builders will tell you to do the hub mod. Years ago we had to do it on the sprocket hub when using a 38 tooth with a 520 chain. Some chain companies make different style chain links. Thats why I ask what brand.
  3. AMERICAN RACER HAS LOWERED THERE TIRE PRICES. BOUBIN TIRES OF IOWA IS SELLING AMERICAN RACER TIRES AT DEALER COST TO THE ATV ASPHALT DRAGGERS. 19/8/10GT $62.67 19/10/10GT $72.00 20/8/10GT. $64.67 20/10/10GT. $76.00 20.5/10/10GT. $80.00 21/10/10GT $80.00 HERE'S THE ROLLOUT NUMBERS AND WEIGHTS 19/8/10GT. 60" ROLLOUT. 10LBS 19/10/10GT. 61" ROLLOUT. 11.5LBS 20/8/10GT. 63" ROLLOUT. 10LBS 20/10/10GT. 63" ROLLOUT. 12LBS 20.5/10/10GT. 65" ROLLOUT. 12.5LBS 21/10/10GT. 67" ROLLOUT. 12.5LBS To order call Paul or Jim at 800-722-3847
  4. If using a stock 6 finger sprocket hub with a 38 tooth 530 sprocket. 530 chain works fine. It wont work if using a 40mm Billet aluminum sprocket hub. Sprocket Specialists sells 1000's of sprockets around the world every week. Maybe Dee Dee didn't know you were using a 40mm billet axle. Or she didn't understand when she was told. Cascade Innovations sells 530 sprockets for Banshee 4 bolt hub. Great prices too. There are some new 520 chains that work great on some of the Huge stroker motor draggers. Those 520 chains will handle 150+ horses.
  5. Robinson Billet full override 6 speed with lower 1st and 6th gears. Also use billet shift forks. Never again have a replace gears from being broken or be wore out . Save money and time. Stock shift forks are weak. Not made to use with a override tranny. Got over 200 1/4 mile passes on my billet 6 speed and it looks brand new. Well worth the money. Will last for years to come.. I race to win. Not to go home with a broken tranny..
  6. A bone stock Banshee will pull sprocket ratio 2:12 36/17. 17 to 18 seconds 1/4 mile times.
  7. Best setup with that size of motor and for your chassis. American Racer 20/8/10GT Compound #SD23. Rollout is 63" weighs 10lbs. Don't go bigger then that tire size. Sprocket ratio 2:12, 2:11, 2:10 for 1/4 mile with a 6 speed tranny. If you need more help on setups for 1/4 mile. Let me know. My motor is a DM 557cc 10mm with 74.50mm bore. 141hp on alky. I use the AM 20/8/10GT tires. I have been racing 1/4 mile on a Banshee since 1991. I got American Racer tire at dealer cost for the atv asphalt draggers.
  8. I use Walmart brand Type F tranny oil.. If it can handles 30,000 miles in a cars tranny. It will work great in the trannys we use.
  9. CPI and PSI are very close the same pipe. PSI Performance P.O. Box 72 Wild Rose, WI 54984 Phone: 920.622.4555 Fax: 920.622.4477 Below is from PSI years ago.. Power delivery on the PSI pipes is very smooth and predictable. The power comes on early in the powerband and has a nice smooth transition into the midrange with a lot stronger topend then the stock banshee pipes. In side by side tests with another banshee our test banshee constantly shot out quicker and farther then it did with the FMF Fatty's on.
  10. If guys are still having problems with tranny after putting in billet shift forks. Then they are back loading the tranny or the override was not cut right.
  11. Thats why hardcore racers use billet shift forks in there tranny's. Don't want anything that is weak in a race motor. Your out there racing to win. Not have problems bending or breaking parts.
  12. Most of the drag bikers use billet shift forks too. Dave Gibson owner of East Coast ATV is a hardcore atv asphalt dragger. Stock shift forks were not working for him and other atv asphalt draggers. Stock shift forks price is $35 each. After burning and bending stock forks. Also taking apart the cases to change the forks. It adds up. Time and money.$$$$$ I use the billet shift forks with the Robinson Banshee Billet full override 6 speed. Never again have problems with tranny and shift forks. Over 200 1/8 mile and over 150 1/4 mile passes on my tranny. Both billet shift forks and billet 6 speed looks brand new after all those passes.
