The Ultimate Piston poll!
atv asphalt drag racer replied to overrevtricky's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I use forged Wössner pistons. Made in Germany Single ring piston. 73mm Cheetah pistons weigh 228 grams. 78mm DM piston weigh 230 grams. Wiseco 78mm DM piston weighs 314 grams. KTM cast 78mm flat top piston is 270 grams. In the picture. Its a 73mm Cheetah piston. -
I'm in the low 10's. Speeds over 120mph. Cheetah's and Bigger motors in the 9's. But there's Cubs out there in the 9's too. Dan Hull's 18mm DM in stock cases. Tranny was a billet 6 speed override. 8 plate clutch with lockup. Donnie ran that stock frame dragger at Milan Dragway August 2009. Fastest time was 9.35@135mph.

I do understand the some sand dragger don't need a billet tranny. But the big boys use the Robinson billet 1-4 tranny. Some of the hard core atv asphalt draggers that race for NHRA National Open events. Or in the huge money payouts events in the 1000's $$$. Don't need to any problems with the tranny's. Stock cut tranny is a weak link in the motor on asphalt. Stock shift fork are the 1st to go. Not made for override tranny's. My motor is a 392cc stock stroke Cub. K&T ported.

$2500. There will be many atv asphalt draggers on the east coast racing at The Rock in June with those tranny's. 30 plus.

Many companies that sell atv stuff have bad customer services. I can name one of your site sposnors. But its not worth bashing a business. B/c it won't change anything. -

Many atv drag builders and some of Banshee HQ site sponsors use there sprockets. So one racer having a problem won't hurt them all at.
