  3. does it need rebuilt yet? whats the compression like? cheap mods: shave the head 25 to 30 thds. more bang! vitos forged super stock pistons !! it s a fake port job !! get a boost bottle ! advance the timing to4 degrees plus. all in all you may have 350 to 400 bucks involved and alot more power to run the trails!!
  4. yeah, agreed... my stock basket is getting pretty worn. the stock clutch set up wouldn,t hold the power anymore also. i had to go with the heavy duty clutch and springs.
  5. if your goin with the 4mill, think you should go with a clean bore too. thinkin that why mine went boom in one cylinder. the engine had 3years on it and then i installed the 4mill crank and it ran only a season before dropping the right cylinder. just a thot friend !!

  8. very true guy, he need the correct set up thow to at least get it to fire. im guessn the needles have the clips at the top. if it does start and run the thing wont idle with the clips on the top. it wont get fuel. turn air mix screws to 1.5 out. new plugs and if all other thing are working, the engine will be ready for break in !!
  9. i purchased my crank from ebay and had no trouble with it. make sure its brand new and true and welded and the seller has been around a while . mine was a vitos crank.
  10. sound s to me like you may have a fould plug . its that cold, get some b7es ngk plugs and it will run great in the cold temps.
  11. raise the needles in the carb slides to the center position and try hold n the throttle a tiny bit open and it should run !! if flooded already, more than likly, hold wide open to start to get max air into the engine.it may take some kickn over before it starts
  12. i personally run the 8 ngk resister plug . i have run the 7 and it kept it from starting ruff and run alot better in the cold. if your just trail riding go wwwwwwith a warmer plug. if you really run the bike hard for longer periods, run the colder plugs like the 9.
  13. if you have fuel flowing through the feed line to both carbs and spark it should start right up guy. make sure your little rubber crossover tube it on between the carbs. wont run unless it is connected. you may have a bad stator too if you didnt use the banshee flywheel puller. broke mine that way.if you have spark thow that aint the issue.
  14. my machine shop informed me that .030 was the max !! puts a little to much stress on the pistons in the chamber on the compression stroke if thr squish is too great. it will actually stress fracture your pistons and break them eventually leading to a complete engine tear dowwn and cleaning.
  15. hey man, just build a vitos motor with forged super stock pistons and a 4mill crank. keep the stock carbs and jet them 320 mian and 30 pilot. raise the needles from vitos and your in great shape with alot more arm ripping power then you need. cheep and very powerful set up for bottom , mid and top!! go 4 degree on timing also.
  16. dont sound good. are you alaways speed shifting the bike! maybe the clutch needs adjusted a bit. only in 4th means its internal.
  17. its fast now but im too used to it !! i want more !! im a big guy and love arm rippind power!! im currently looking at the option of the cheetah cub cylinders ! i wanted to know if i could bore the stock jugs that far. i have two sets of them .
  18. hey guys, i wana take my vitos motor to the next level here. it has a vitos 4mill crank and bored to65mm . it has the vitos super stock forged pistons in it with the billet timing at 4 degrees .also put some billet intakes on it with v force 3 reeds. carbs are stock now with 340 main and 30 pilots and needles raised the whole way up.the pipes are the fmf fatty with power core 2 . Im thinking 68 mm bore with wisco pistons. can i get my cylinders bored that far .im probly gonna be in the market for 35 air strikers also so im gonna unload a bunch of my other stuff . im wanting to go with the 420 engine set up.
