  1. ALSO: Where is the arrow on the case that you are supposed to line up. I do not see one at all. Anyone got a pic of proper positioning of lever.
  2. Safe to say the small washer goes on the outside of the pressure plate. What do you guys do just leave the clutch cover off and then adjust everything once you hook up the clutch cable and such?
  3. The large washer and bearing part goes on the inside of pressure plate correct? Mine has a small washer on the outside behind the nut.
  4. LMAO, glad I could give everyone a laugh. They were actually ported by the oppositte of HJR which was HKR. Hellen Keller Racing. Figured I might as well make fun of them too...........
  5. LOL ya I already sealed the hole. Waiting for it to cure and retest lol............I am anal too. I am by the book hehehe. That's why the youth where I work hate me. I work in a Juvenile Correctional Facility and they say i act like I am a secret service agent lmao.
  6. I've sprayed it to and don't see anything. Just went and sprayed it again and there is a small bubble coming out of bottom side of gauge side of tester. Does that sound like about a 1psi leak in 6 minutes? LOL
  7. Closest i've come yet but I lost 1psi in 6 min. Sprayed soapy water everywhere and don't see or hear anything. Is this enough to matter and if so where should I check?
  8. Yah I kinda figured someone was doing a DIY job on them.
  9. Looks like these cylinders are not virgins. Think they have been ported and if so is it a decent job or no? Just wondering.
  10. Is there a certain type of solder that is preferred? Basically it's like using clay for a piston to valve clearance?
  11. Do I need to perform a squish test with 20cc domes? I did a couple of searches on how to perform. Thought I read where you could do it by sticking a piece of solder through the spark plug hole.
  12. I am definitely going to use some 3 bond on the gaskets when I get the new ones and put them on. Is there supposed to be washers behind the bolts? It could just be leaking around the gasket and coming through the bolt head also I guess. Probably why I was having such a hard time getting it to run right before tear down. It was acting like it had an air leak. Imagine that?
  13. Ya I am glad I took the time to do the pressure check. I get these leaks taken care of and then hopefully i'll be good to go. If I never did the check though i'd be rebuilding and then riding with airleaks. Thx.
  14. I am doing my leakdown and have several airleaks around gaskets and where the bolts mount the intake boot. Is there supposed to be washers there because air is seaping around the bolt? Previous mechanic had 2 gaskets where boot meets reed cage and had applied what looks like RTV grey. I took them off and scraped it down. Would it hurt when installing the new gaskets to use some more RTV? I only had 2 new gaskets to use and didn't see any leaks around the new gaskets. Need to order some more and try again. All gaskets the same for all reeds and cages?
  15. I'm using 3/4" caps that fit nice and snug into the boot. I even used impact screwdriver and got them TIGHT. Air comes out as fast as it goes in. Sprayed soapy water and both boots leaking.
  16. LOL no shop. It's in my house. Well I got prettybad air leaks. As of now it's leaking like crazy from the intake boots. I have themtight as can get.
  17. Well looks like I am gonna have to run them for time being. I don't have any shorter bolts than the ones that are for the spacers. I am getting ready to do my leakdown test. Does anything have to block the coolant inlet and outlets on the head?
  18. Reed spacers don't do anything? Guess I will ditch them if so. Think the gasket kit only came with 2 intake gaskets.
  19. In process of building my leakdown tester. Should I be good to go ahead and test it?
  20. Don't know if the previous owner had it right because they got gaskets and some kind of gasket maker also. I have stock intakes along with VForce2 reeds and a reed spacer. How should the assembly go as far as gaskets where and do I need special gaskets for the VForce reed cage or anything? I thought I saw a site had different gaskets for different reed setups. Thx. Mike
  21. Well I got it all back together and got the cylinders and head on and torqued also. About to put primary drive gear and etc. on. Will be a few days probably before I can build my leakdown tester.
  22. Kool really apprciate the help. Im gonna c if I can get it back together tonight.
