  1. That is 11k lbs of STATIC load... And just a little FYI... those are tested in a VERTICAL setting... NOT the way you have it rigged. You are not teaching any sort of a class: I have lived, breathed, and slept suspension for the last 8 years, day in and day out. I am telling you, FOR A FACT, that is one of the most unsafe "rigs" I have ever seen.
  2. Dude... you replace the whole thing... not just the ball... Shouldn't your buddy who builds these high dollar race bikes know that? It's not a WHORE either.... how rude.
  3. Dude, all we are saying it is painfully obvious that it is unsafe. You can do what you wish with your own life... but if we told you it was safe, and you killed yourself... some of us might feel liable.
  4. $0.38 shipped to Uzbekistan?
  5. It's called dieseling. Google it. It's usually more common in high compression motors, though.
  6. Those look like the old school FMF gold signature series pipes, right?
  7. You won't be able to use to eibach spring on the works rear. Odds are the works spring will be a smaller diameter, and longer. Get that works on there, and report back!
  8. Agreed. An aftermarket shock will definitely be easier to get dialed in. You might need a heavier spring, or, on a works shock, you can just crank down the proload and try and get more out of it that way. What type of riding do you do? Here's the problem I see. You're going to punch a hole in the bottom of that tank if it's not set up right.
  9. How much are these shipped? Edit: Holy shit, just saw it, nevermind...
  10. You should've left that out! Anyways, your mods are very similar to mine, and you elevation and temp are very similar as well. I run 320's with 27.5's. Maybe buy some 300-330's and go from there. I always like to run my stuff a touch rich... so you might be right in the same window as I am.
  11. I'm still looking for some aftermarket arms... I don't want my bike to be armless... lol...
  12. It depends on the brand of shock, and what type of riding. For hard trails, or tons of jumping, I will run a slightly heavier weight oil than comes standard in the shock. Typically elka's, axis, and TCS call for a 3 or 5 wt oil... In works I like to run a 7wt, since their seal tolerances are a little looser than the other three brands. If you find a place to order the seal heads complete for the shee rear shocks. The place I used to get mine from discontinued them, and now I'm without a source.
  13. x2, bought some shocks off of him. He knows how to abuse the USPS free shipping supplies!! Thanks Dave!!!
  14. Because yellow is gay.
  15. Yeah., those things are typically loc-tited with red loc-tite... Pointless if you ask me. I use blue for everything. The red is a little overkill, but that's how we did it at Bilstein too. Seriously? They didn't include the wear bands? That's the biggest wear part in ANY shock...Sounds like it's gotta be a mistake... maybe if you just call and give em hell they'll throw some in the mail to you, "aye". I had the pleasure of speaking with someone at Axis yesterday, and those guys were freaking awesome. The shock I'm rebuilding for DonkeyPuncher had the old style seal head in it... and he had me take two quick measurements and BAM, had the new one on it's way to me. I think just based on that experience Axis' are going to be my next purchase.
  16. Austin, LOCK IT UP... that's a sexy woman right there... MMMMMM
  17. x2 on the spark. Also if your carbs and spark check out... check your reeds. Just a shot in the dark, but seems like a lot of people have had issues with reeds lately...
  18. Here is a pic of my buddy's 03LE. It's got black arms as well. I have an 05 SE and I might be getting rid of my stock arms if I can find some +2's for a good price.
  19. If you're budget is big... condsider sending your motor to one of our sponsors for the works... I've ridden a wildcard bike, and can honestly say I had a smile ear to ear for a solid week. They will be getting my motor before next season. A 4mil is a good all around idea. Here's what I'd do... 4mil crank V Force 3 reeds Wildcard drag port cylinders Cool head with whatever domes Wildcard recommends. A good set of pipes matched to your porting. 33+mm carbs And with that power, you're going to want an extended swinger, if you're going to be dragging. Just my opinion... but to each their own. =)
