  1. How much for the plastics shipped to 56649, International Falls, MN?
  2. Just won a Pro Design coolhead off of ebay w/ 21cc domes, for 100$, looks to be in great shape. Do I need to use longer studs with this head, or do the stock ones work? Cant find a website for the head.
  3. Hmm maybe I'll just clean them up, get the cylinders all done and just paint the studs and nuts after? Seal them up a lil from rusting?
  4. Sounds good, if I buy the head directly from him, I'll have him add the studs to my order, since I'll be needing new head studs also. Another question, not something you will be able to find in a Clymers manual, haha. What exhaust should I run? I'm looking for something that performs best mid-high, I'll be riding alot of trails that you can fly down pretty well. Sadly dont have any dunes or anything to ride, being in northern Minnesota, lol. I just missed out on some DG pipes that sold on Ebay for 38$ (went to a movie, totally forgot about the bid), so that sucks ass unless it wasnt what I was looking for, which would make me happy then. But yea, I'm looking at putting this quad in that little margin thats more powerful then stock, but yet more reliable as its using higher quality parts. I know the head will make more power, and be more reliable, thats a plus. Cylinders have a mild port, so shouldnt effect reliability much, yet make more power. Should I get the billet high flow water pump? Also any other weak points I can address on the quad, engine or chassis wise? I've been reading up on this thing everyday since I got it pretty much. Its an 1987 Banshee. Any tips will be appreciated, I have about 1600$ to dump into it atm. Heres how shes sitting, engines out at the shop I work at. The more I look at it, the more I want some new A-arms and a rear axle, so I can toss those nasty J-arms... It just sucks because a set of +X A-Arms are SPENDY, and I only have so much cash to work with. >.<
  5. Hey quick question here, in the process of ordering parts, and I want to replace the studs that hold the cylinders to the block... what are they called? All I can find is cylinder head stud kits, and would like to order some nice stainless studs for the whole engine! Any help would be awesome, never worked on a banshee before, just ordered a Wiseco full topend rebuilt kit w/ prolite .050 pistons, a clymers manual, Vforce 2 reeds, and looking for some studs! Next is to get a new cylinder head, still trying to figure out which one I want. I plan on running 91 octane.
  6. Trade you a 2004 Honda Ruckus scooter with the 49cc swapped out for a 150cc, does 65+ mph, discs front and rear, lots of aftermarket & fabbed parts for it, just needs to be wired up, its worth around 2000$ the way it sits, tricked out ones have sold upwards around 8000$.
  7. Also I live in northern Minnesota, so if anyone is close and wants to help, your definetely welcome!
  8. Well, I've always wanted a Banshee, love 2strokes, but never had one with wheels before, lol. Anywho, I picked up an 87' that needed some serious resto for 500$. Basically its a rolling chassis with the shocks and steering installed (2001 shocks), all the bearings are good, no play. The rest was all disassembled, plastics are off of it, and engine needs a top end. When I got it, all the little parts, carbs, brake parts, every nut and bolt was in a big mash inside a plastic bin, which must have been left outside at one point because everything in there is covered in rust, the engine was left indoors thankfully. Now the frame and all the parts on it are freshly painted and powdercoated, new handlebars, etc. Engine is all shined up, old pistons are already taken out, and cylinders are off. I got new cylinders which were ported by a shop with the banshee, still needs a new head though. What I want to do is pretty much replace everything on this thing, full stainless bolt kit (115$ on Ebay), all new calipers, stainless braided brake lines, T5 exhaust, K&N intake, new handlebar hardware, seat cover, new plastics, etc. I priced it around 1350-1500$ to buy pretty much every part, including a forged rebuild kit. Now I've never worked on a Banshee before, nor have I seen one stripped down. What would be the best way for me to put this thing all back together? Anyone ever made a step by step thread on this? (guessing not), or are their manuals that would be great for doing this? Here is the Banshee, needs new plastics because they were painted and it didnt bond, so it just kind of flakes off.
