It could be the stator try cleaning the rust off of it with some contact cleaner and cleaning up the flywheel first before you go buy a new one. I had a similar problem with mine when I took it swimming. I cleaned it all up and it ran fine after that.

After reading about the yz 250 it reminded me of something I did. I rebuilt me 250r and was messing around the house my girlfriend called and wanted me to come over so I thought well it's about 5 miles I 'll hit the trails and shoot over there. Her and I went for a ride around her subdivision ( what a way to ruin a riding spot that was ) after a quick lap or two we were gonna head back to my place so I hit the asphalt as soon as I peaked the hill there was a squad car with it's lights on her neighbors called and complained so I stopped and he made me push it all the way home as he followed behind with my girl and his lights on. However when I got it back to the house he just laughed about it and couldn't beleive I actually pushed it home now him and I go riding all the time.

Good old Solver Lake. I go up there a couple times a year and middle of the week is the best time to go because they really don't check for much of anything. On the weekends however they check about every tenth Banshee for sound and they check all of them for Sparky's. If its something simply the place next door will have what you are looking for and they usually charge catalog prices. I think my Sparky set cost me $70 and after I got caught without them and put them on I didn't get stopped again for anything the rest of the day. As far as decibel checking I've only seen that on busy weekends. The title and paperwork I've never had checked but my brother in law did because someone ran into his 450. I wouldn't worry about it to much though. Good luck with the Liberty on test hill if it's busy.

i always put the round side down this means i've been doin it all ring guess i better go tear my motor down lol

im not sure if too big of a fuel line would cause this but it sounds like it is flooding out you may want to try and go back to the stock size line and see if that helps any carbs are a pain in the azz though so good luck

did you ck the hose that connects the two carbs if that has a leak in it or is missing that will sccew up the way it runs as far as the garbage i hope its just exhaust packing id ck the hose first though and if it runs right then take off the exhaust and repack it with fresh packing cuz it sounds like its saturated with unused fuel usually puffy white smoke is coolant related ck the rubber plug in the cylinder for that mine has had both these problems in the past
