  5. I know that this fall/winter Im tearin the banshee apart and painting everything.. Right now i have a 1987 so its the old school white and red with gold wheels, and i think its a good look... A part of me wants to just restore it, repaint all the plastics the same color, then powder coat the frame the same red and white scheme and have a pristine 1987... Then the childish flat bill wearing side of me really wants to just murder the bike.. just black everything. complete opposite side of the spectrum i know.. i just cant stop thinking how sick all gloss black would look. Maybe it wouldnt even look sweet at all, i want to hear what everyone thinks, haha maybe stop me from doing something really gay. And if murdered wouldnt look good, i was thinking about going black everything, then the smaller items on the bike like a-arms i can PC myself.. so i could go almost all black with a hint of red?
  6. I shouldn't of said budget pipe because i really want some T-5's and i would pay more than 250 for a pair
  7. That just made me realize that the kit doesn't just come with a bunch of different jets like i thought... Ill just go with 290 mains and save myself a bunch of money if thats my best bet.

  9. I would REALLY like to pick up a set of Natural steel Toomey T-5's in decent condition for around $250... Otherwise Id just like to see what you have and how much you want
  10. oops.. Bone Stock gonna do pods and T-5's im hoping it wakes the bike up enough to entertain me till i get the money to port it
  11. for my first performance upgrade i was thinking about doing pods and buying a dynojet kit, now i know im obviously going to have to just try some jets and check the plugs.. but where should i start with my jetting? and what should i change just the mains or more?
  12. I disconnected what i thought was tors and it wouldnt start, when i hooked it up everything was fine... But i verified when the switch is hit the engine is killed..
  13. So i can unhook them without consequence? What are they supposed to do?
  14. my banshee stalls on idle. When i took the cover off the thumb control and i noticed it is only when the switch inside the control is pushed in, if i move the throttle only slightly ( not enough to rev it only enough to move the switch) it idles like a champ... What is the switch and why is it causing me to stall?
  15. A few weeks ago I bought a 1987 banshee... the price was right and from what i could tell it ran great for its age. Ive ridden it a few times now and i must say I am amazed at how it performs and how I have not had any major problems. I do want to do a few things to it.. the air filter on it is garbage and i want to do an outerwears airbox lid and a K&N with outerwears pre-filter over it (just to be safe). Everything is bone stock except for some ancient DG Type-II silencers on it. Now my question is with the mods i'm doing should i re jet or leave it alone? i have more mods on the way but this kills two birds with one stone because i NEED a new filter. I appreciate any help. :cool:
