Do you guys just go to your local airport to get the AV gas or what?

Ive heard of a few people that did fuel injection on their shee's and they run them on E85.. Can this be odne with carbs and cant E85 be used like a high octane fuel? this seems like such a cool concept to me

Well i have a problem then... i cant get my engine to operating temp because it doesnt run atm.. i did the test and i got 110 on my left cyl and 70 on the right

How do you check compression?

One cylinder not running then swap

This is the story of my life! im having the same damn problem and honestly im just thinkin new carbs for me -
I just changed my stator plate over to the chariot one and there was no water in there so i dont think thats the problem... i honestly just think im going to buy some 28 PWK's and see if it fixes my problem because ive tried everything

Okay, so i tried everything to troubleshoot a spark issue on the shee and I'm 99.9% sure that it has nothing to do with spark, i decided that i would swap the carbs just for a minute to the opposite side just to see if the cylinder would stop workin on the opposite side, i did it and turns out it is definatly a carb issue, something is messed up with my left side carb, i pulled it off and cleaned it VERY thuroughly, slapped ut back on kicked it, and it seemed like it worked! the left side started firing a little bit, then nothing but puffy white smoke and A TON OF OIL and garbage shot everywhere.. i mean i had puddles of this garbage all over the garage... any ideas what the hell is going on?

Im guessing that is to make sure im at WOT when my thumb is burried
-
Okay cool, i think i have setting the cables pretty much under control, ill be sure to check my air screws
-
if that were the case then wouldnt swapping the wires move the problem to the other side? im going to try tomorrow, hopefully if it doesnt work i can rule out a spark issue
-
no my cylinder wont fire at all..

So i have some idea on how to tune but i want to make sure there is noting i am missing. I know to tune you change the jets and the needle position and also the needle itself, but what i dont understand is how to fine tune, like i know the carbs are supposed to be in sync, but what i dont understand is if both carbs have all the same jets and needles then how do they get out of sync? is there some type of fine tuning that i am missing? also i know two strokes are pretty simple so if the carbs are tuned right thats all I really have to worry about? theres no where else i can really be adjusting things right?

anybody? i really want to get this thing running.

I noticed that most people on here run Vforce 3's.. i was up at my local parts place and i noticed the SRP ram air reed cage, noticed it was alot cheaper and claims to be better than the V3's.. Just wondering if anyone has an opinion on them

Okay, i fixed my idle screw so the whole tors removal works as it should now, i have the correct size mains (or close enough) i have good spark on both plugs so neither fouled out and both are getting spark... It starts no problem but i notice exhaust barely comes out of the left pipe when i hit the throttle there is alot of white smoke and if i nail it for a couple of seconds the pipe shits fuel everywhere.. i cant figure out why im not getting anything on the left cylinder.
-
Okay, so now heres where im at. i didnt drill far enough for the idle screws to even have any effect. So as of right now the only problem i have is my mains are too rich.. but would this really stop a cylinder from firing?
-
WOW. i wasnt even close.. thanks so much

How Far in do i drill for the idle screw? When i started drilling, almost instantly i hit some sort of pocket, is this where i stop?

Anybody?

I wanted to make my bone stock, perfectly running banshee and make it better... and now im havin all sorts for problems. first off, I purchased some pods and 300 main jets, when i installed them the banshee wouldn't start and i found that my TORS was on the fritz, so i went out and got a removal kit, it seemed so simple to install and yet it was a complete bitch.. the biggest problem being the tap for the idle screws broke inside my carb determined not to give up i thought maybe i didnt need the idle screw and leave the shitty tap in the carb. i put it all back together and now im running on 1 Cylinder, coincidently, the one that has the borken tap in it.... i tried cleaning the carbs ( and did a beautiful job i must say  ) then i tried swapping plugs (didnt work).. so here i am.. What could be wrong? is it the broken tap in my idle screw hole? because honestly ill just buy some new carbs.. Some nicer ones.

Has anyone done H.I.D's/xenons on a banshee?

Yesterday i threw some pods and 300 mains on my shee. my carbs are super dirty on the outside and some dirt got inside the carb when i pulled the bowl off, I made a half ass attempt at cleaning it up, threw the jets on and slapped it all back together, when i fired it up it started first kick and everything seemed good.. the only thing i noticed was after revving it would idle high then eventually return to normal im not sure but i think thats just happening because the top of the carb might be loose (stupid tors makes it so hard to get them on good, itll be gone soon).. now today i fired it up to further investigate the idle issue, it did the same rev thing and the tops seemed tight so im not sure what exactly is going on there.. the thing im even more concerned about is it would make a sqeek that sounded like a release of air out of the right carb, when i looked at the exhaust the left side was pouring out and the right side didnt seem to be pushing much, if any exhaust at all... So i have two problems, a strange rev and one cylinder doesnt seem to run right.

Got some paddles on the way mounted on polished douglas's... Now that i think about it I do want to cut the fenders.

Here is what i came up with thanks to your guy's suggestions.. Before: AFTER: Keep the suggestions goin.. i still gotta PC everything else!

Lol nvm... A 13mm socket on a 14mm nut with a 10lb sledge did the job nicely
