The yfshee as i call will get a paint job but she has to go threw a few rides before i go to crazy on looks.Make sure chain stays on and everything works like it suppose to.Then im tearing it back down trim all the yfz mounts and clean up a few welds and go threw my motor while im at it.Thanks guys i want this thing to work like factory so it might have a few bugs to work out on the way.

Got all my mid pipes finally done it wasnt to bad.Took a while on the right side.I didnt think the plastic turned out to bad. What do you all think i just got the wiring left and cables. Thanks

I watched on craigslist for a while and found a 04 with a blowed up motor for 500. Stripped it down and sold the wiring harness and head on ebay and made 300 of my money back.Still got the bottom end left but only thing any good is tranny if any one needs a good one pm me.Cases and crank are junk. I think it is going to be a pretty nice ride i hope. Im going to put some mounts on frame for the pipe hangers tomorrow nite havnt got any pipe yet to make the mid pipes out of. I might mount up plastic and see what looks like. I dont think there we be alot of the side panels left after triming to clear pipes. Hope it looks ok.Thanks

If you look at the first pic you can see the bracket i made for the back. Looks kinda rough rite now but i will clean it up when i tear it back down.The front mounts i used the 450s and bent them switched sides and groiund on them to clear takes time but what else are you going to do in the winter. Yea Ryan i should have it ready if everything works out. It wasnt to bad to get the pipes to fit. Getting the motor in took a little while to get sprockets lined up and the motor the right height for the front sprocket. I havnt cut anything off of the frame yet it still has all the 450 mounts right now but i think im going to cut them off when i get everything done. I had to make a back mount it wasnt to difficult just used tubing and made some tabs to hook up with.I havnt made any brackets for the bottom mounts yet still havnt decided if im going to put them on or not. I dont know if the are really needed or not. What do you guys think.

What kind of pipes did you have? Most of them i see on the net the pipes dont look to good or they have to cut them completely up to make fit. I didnt want to do that so i took my time trying to get these right. I was ready to cut the frame up and reroute tubes before i cut up the pipes. I will get some more picks when i get the rest of the exhaust done.Thanks Mike

Had to cut ends off and do some grinding and turn pipes to clear everything. I will get a hold of tom and see if i can get some of the pipe between the pipes and silencers to bend and make fit. I think i will mount silencers inside of frame then i wont have to make a extra bend. I think i will clean up my welds a little and send to tom get them chromed.I used a die grinder cleaned up the inside pretty good. Dont know about plastic yet i will worry about that later.What do you guys think so far? Be honest im a big boy.LOL

You will not be disappointed go ahead and try them.The R2s kick the butt off of fattys and the old fmf mid top pipes to.

I have a just bolt on bike and these pipes out pull everything i have tried in the mid and blow them away in the topend.Fattys are nothing compared to these they pull nothing like these anywhere in the band.CT racing pipes are a little closer but still cant keep up in top.Old fmf mid top pipe are about like the CTs.Thats all the pipes ive tried so far and dont think i will be needing anything else.If you got the cash buy them you wont be disappointed.Now i cant wait to get my ported jugs on.

Sorry dont have any shocks they were sold before i got the bike.

Im keeping plastics they are not very good anyway.

Heres some pics tried to take pics of dents and show the rust best i could they need a good cleaning.

I have a set that are in ok shape.They have a few dings and some rust but clean up pretty decent when on bike.They are not like new but i will take 200 shipped if interested i will send you pics.

Im going to tear the shee down this week and start fitting the engine.The yfz came with no shocks so i got a old set of shee shocks on front so i can move it around.If anybody has a decent set of front and back shocks for the yfz for sale pm me. Keep checking back i will post more pics as i go.

How deep is the tread on the hoosiers?

I bought a 04 yfz 450 to build a hybrid banshee i have some parts i dont need.The thing had a broken crank so cases and jug are no good but i have everything else.I have the carb, head and wiring pm me if you need something.I will post some pics of carb and head tomorrow and whatever anyone is looking for.Thanks

I went and picked up a 2004 yfz today with a broken rod.So now begins my yfz shee build ive read on here and other places on net about other guys doing so here it goes.I will try to post picks as i put it together.I'm going to try and put the pipes on without cutting them up to fit. I will cut the frame and move bars instead if possible.If anybody has any input go ahead and speak up.Everything but the pipe fitting looks fairly easy.I will post a few pics later tonite with donor pics.

Will yfz 450 spindles work on stock banshee a arms? I was going to put on the yfz brakes on and i have the spidles and hubs so i thought about installing them to.Thanks Mike
