  1. I know this has been covered lots of times. I found a vito's top end kit for cheap (brand new). Wondering if they really give +6 hp like the description says? They are made by wiseco. I have read on here that they are junk. Does anyone have any input for me?

  3. Ok. Im sure its been covered but can I paint my stock head and jugs? If so. Will the high temp engine block spray paint work?

  5. You can get 64.5mm pistons which are .30 over. Thats what my banshee is. If your clearances are too much then you prob need to get it bored. Thats just my 2 cents. Still kinda new at this but I do know that much.
  6. For the most part all i do is trail ride. My little brother has a 06 kx 85 and he swears up and down he can beat me in a drag race. Thats the only drag racing i will be doing. I dont see any reason why i cant blow him away. Thats a little bike. It has power but not enough.
  7. Thanks for that advice. I am still new at this. Im learning more and more each day by reading all this stuff on the hq. I may just leave it dual carb and get some bigger ones. What size do you suggest?
  8. fmf gold series. Dont really like them they are a plain metal color. I would like to get some toomey's. They sound so sweet.
  9. That kinda sounds like the same thing i went through. I bought my first banshee a couple of months ago. Brought it home and was just going up and down my road. Decided to open it up! It made a horrible noise like you said and then died. Got it home and pulled the jugs. My right piston had shattered and pieces jammed my crank from moving. May not be the same thing in your case but wont hurt to check your pistons.
  10. I have fmf gold series pipes. This is my first banshee so Im not comfortable enough yet to ride hard. I will open it up on straight aways but mainly trails. This may sound bad but i am still afraid of it! The weather in minnesota sucks so bad right now and cant wait for summer so i can get used to it and ride the hell out of it. So basically with that should i just stay with the duals until i ride better or go ahead with the single?
  11. Need some input on this. I was thinking of going to a single carb set up. Only mods are pipes, k&n/no air box, +3 timing key, and bored .40 over. What all do I have to buy to do this or should i just leave the dual carb on it?
  12. Oh hell no! not the pres. Yes the tors are still on but I took the little black box out and removed the wire coming out of the throttle. So they arent hooked up. Wondering if its a weak cylinder?

  16. Ok. Im sure this has been covered before but my buddy has a 01 banshee. Only mods are pipes and k&n air filter. When it idles and you put your hands behind each pipe the right side seems to be firing twice as many times as the left. Once you take off it goes like hell. Anyone know what this is or may be?
  17. So this shouldnt cause any harm? Mine just seems to shift into first alot harder than other one i have ridden.
  18. When I get ready to ride. My banshee will be at a normal idle. I pull the clutch in and shift into first. It seems to slam into gear really hard. All the other gears shift just fine and the clutch isnt slipping or anything. Does anyone know why it jerks so hard into first or ever had that problem before?
  19. I am sure everyone has there own opinion on this but I heard that cheap 2cycle oil will make it run like crap. Is that true and if so what is a good oil to run? I mix 32:1 if that helps.
  20. I noticed you said stay away from the degree key. Mine has one. Do you suggest i put the stock key back in and get a timing plate instead? Why is the key bad?
  21. I lived in Huntsville most of my life. Moved to minnesota 3 years ago. I live in central minnesota. Just bought my first BANSHEE 2 months ago and I have to say I was absolutely amazed at the power and speed. It seems like the mod capability is endless.

  24. This may be a stupid question but. Where in the hell can I get 27.5, 28,28.5 pilot jets for my stock banshee carbs? I called all the dealers in my area and they only have 25,30,35 that go up in 5's. I even tried dennis kirk. Maybe i am looking it up wrong but dont think so. If anyone can tell me that would be great. Thanks
