  1. ok so i just looked at the timing plate to see where it was set because the guy i had working on my bike is a dumbass. he set the timing at -4 but it seems to be running ok how it is ive had some overheating problems but i think that is all from the fiberglass impeller he put in it that is melted and half there now. by me moving it to +4 timing what issues will i have. im new to this and i just would like to know a heads up before going and doing everything. are my carbs going to be ok how they are or will i need to adjust them? i have 300 main 27.5 pilot, k&n pods, cool head, 19cc domes, i have bored it twice and i dont know really how much he bored it. it is ported, fmf fattys . any and all help is needed to make this thing faster im savin for a few more things, hell what i am sayin im always savin for something else for it or fixin it lol....but i just want to get everything out of what i already have on it.

  4. i need to know of a place where i can get my bearing, oil seal, impeller gear, and not spend 109.10. the yamaha place here in town wants 110 bucks for that...crazy .....i dont see spending that kinda money for those things. ive been searching places and found the water pump gasket and the crankcase gasket but i cant find bearing oil seal and impeller gear. need some help. thanks
  5. i have blew my topend twice and had to have it rebuilt because of overheating and both ive had put in were stock impellers. who knows if the guy did it right. after the past month or so of me working on it there is a lot he said he did but didnt do when he rebuilt it. it looks like the one this guy put in last time is fiberglass i think.
  6. im need a new impeller and by reading some of the post on here i think the best is go with a billet impeller. i need to know what brand to go with i heard that quadmod's are junk and dont fit right.....also how do i get the other impeller out and put the new one in. do you just pull it out or what? i just have a shaft in there really none of the impeller is left ....im new to the game and need some help
  7. mine started over heating in the tree trailes at little sahra but if i stayed out at the drag strip it wouldnt over heat but everytime i took it into the tree trailes it over heated. i was thinking the water pump or the impleler went out. so do banshees need to stay out of the tree trailes.
  8. it was prob because i had never done it before and didnt really know what i was doin had to take them apart 3 to 4 times and adjust the washer and then we dilled out the carb and it worked great. i still have the 340 main but i cant seem to find where to buy new pilots at i am still running the stock ones in it and im running way to lean right now
  9. im in need to buy bigger main jets and pilot jets im running dynojet now and i heard that they werent the best to go with. they were the biggest pain in the ass to install i know that. what brand do you guys think i need to go with
  10. i love mine i wouldnt go more that 3 on the back because you can bow your back axel i have 3 on the back and 5 on the front and would not go back riding without them. i just got 2 sets of 3in for my raptor off ebay for 60 bucks front and back. ebay is the way to go man
  11. so if my bike is over heating in tree trails and hardly does it while drag racing my jetting is to lean and a bigger main jet would help? what brand would be best to go with
  12. what do you think i need to run in it. i was running some racing coolant in it and then after putting the coolhead on it we just put 50/50 mix in it. all we had out there at the time.

  14. yea i have access to it the higher oct fuel. i just dont want to blow a hole in one of my pistons. what else can i do to make it go faster too. i still have stock spockets on it and dont know what to go with
  15. i had the stock head on it before the cool head and put the 19cc domes in it and it was still over heating
  16. im running 91oct with mc-1 oil my jets are 280 drilled .004 what is detonating? im telling ya im new at this
  17. my bike is over heating, if i get it in the tree trails its done but if i stay at the drag strip it doesnt over heat. the water pump seems to be doing good, we took off the hose from the head and turned it over and had plenty of fuild coming out. so i think my impleler is fine but havent looked at it. i was told that my timing might be set up to high. is there an easy way to check and make sure it is at a +4, i had a guy tell me he thinks its at a +7. i have an adjustible stator, ported and polished, bored pistons, cool head, 19 domes and an aftermaket aluminum radiator and aftermarket impleler. im new at this and tired of spending all the money on labor and not parts so im going to start doing as much as i can but i need help getting started. thanks

    i do start in second gear but it just feels like it takes to long to get all my speed

    what would be the best sprockets to go with im thinkin like 13-42 my banshee is pullin like 55hp and i think it should run faster. i still have stock sprokets on it now. im new at all this and wanna start drag racin it
