  1. Welcome, I am new to and I just got a 99 myself and doing the same thing. If you need to send a pm my way feel free and keep us up on your progress
  2. I am thinking of taking them off to clean but the gasget doesnt leak so I dont want to have to get news (hard to find) if I dont have to yet. Trust me my toys dont look like this even when they are dirty...lol its only been 30 here once sinse I have owned her so waiting for that first 35 degree day to powerwash everything. I already had the entire front end off and replaced all bearings and put new pads back on. Just need to bleed the front brakes. Ordered two stock rear hubs from MotorCity ATV yesterday and a whole rear brake caliper. The rear caliper that is on it someone rigged it up to get it to work but I am not trusting a stripped out bolt with wire wrapped around it to hold the pads together. Fun project, amazing how easy and cheap parts are. So once the snowmobile season is over it will be time to get muddy again. I do notice that a lot or majority of people love the Banshee on the dunes...does anyone really trail ride. Thats the type of machine I will be building here. I live in West MI and mainly trails around here. There is a place called Silver Lake that is about 30 min. from here to play in the sand. So the only thing left is I am thinking of getting a set of ITP Holeshot tires 20x11x9 HD's...anyone know anything good or bad about these?
  3. Thanks guys, I was thinking like DG's or even homemade???They feel really thin and there is like no room for my to turn the fuel on or off or res. ??? This site is awesome starting to get the hang of things. I will try and get some better pics of everyone. Not even a name stamped on them anywhere.
  4. Hey guys, I picked up my first quad this winter just after the holidays. I grew up with sleds and my neighbor has the last year for the Banshee, man after riding it all summer I knew right then I had to have one. So I found the deal of the year, 99 Banshee with 2 extra set of tires for under $1200 and yes it starts up first kick. So I am in the process of tearing apart everything and cleaning her up to get ready for this spring and summer. I had already replaced the rear axle (bent) found a used one for $50 and just needs a little TLC. So I guess the main question I have that no one is fully sure of is the brand of pipes that came with this gem??? My album has some more pics of the before process, I just recieved a box of goods from Rocky Mountain (very happy customer) so I will keep up with my progress on getting this monster ready.
