  1. Payment sent for the jugs .
  2. I saw these on ebay last night: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/_Motorcycle...A1%7C240%3A1318
  3. Thanks for the reply's. Finally got the bottom end tore apart and case split, aside from the clutch being trash the rest looks to be in good shape. I noticed all the way around the bottom of the cylinder opening in the case that the edge has small cuts in it. I also found some engraveing on the case just above the crank that had XQ 96, anyone ever seen this before? I guess it's time to get it all cleaned up and ready for some new parts. Looks like I will be going back together with the 4mill long rod setup.
  4. When I got it it had NGK B7es plugs in it and also the stator was set at +2
  5. It's got me baffled, there is no marks on the dome from anything hitting it.
  6. Also is this a stock clutch or aftermarket? http://www.flickr.com/photos/15592546@N08/3349789637/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/15592546@N08/3349789703/
  7. What could have caused this? I just bought this banshee ( didnt pay very much for it thank god) and took it out for a spin after getting it running and it ran pretty good except it had a bog when out of the power band. So I decided to tear it down and this is what I found. One piston has a dent in the dome and is actually cracked on the inside of the piston, and it has extensive scratches in the jug. Haven't got the case apart yet to see what all is in it. Rod bearings seem to be in good shape, It has Vito's pistons, cool head with 22cc domes, the rest I have no clue. Here is some pics. http://www.flickr.com/photos/15592546@N08/show/
  8. Thanks for the links, just got done removing my pivot bolt..... needless to say it took a sawzall to persuade it to come off  . So looks like I will be buying a new bolt and sleeve too. Thanks for the offer lokisbuddy, I am probably gonna buy the whole kit.
  9. Thanks, I meant bearings for the front wheels. I am planning on replaceing all of them.
  10. Where is a good place to buy bearings from? Need to replace my carrier bearings and front bearings.
  11. Well I took the carbs off and cleaned them up and re-jetted, drained the fuel and put some fresh in, lubed up the chassis. I also found out why it would not run worth a crap, the previous owner didn't have the hose connecting the two carbs together( I guess it is the choke tube). Now it starts right up on the first or second kick  . I also put in a new set of plugs. Should I be running the NGK B-7 or the B-8 plugs? It had B-7's in it so that is what I got.
  12. I just purchased a '89 banshee and was needing to know if there is a way to adjust the camber? The right front is out too far on top.
  13. I have a question, my factory kill switch has been disconnected, should I hook it back up or is there a aftermarket one everyone uses?
  14. Not for sure on the porting, the guy I bought it off of couldn't tell me what all they ( Trinity) did to it.
  15. Well I picked up my first banshee today  . It is a '89 with some port work done by Trinity, cool head and FMF Gold pipes. Can't wait to get it out and do some riding!
  16. Thanks for the welcome! Any suggestions on a good place too look for a good used shee? Keeping my eye on ebay but most are way too far away.
  17. Hello all! I am new to the site and I am considering building a banshee. I used to race dirt oval karts. Would it be feesable to buy a used shee or would I be better off building from the bare frame so I know what I have? Planning on building for the dunes and some trail riding.
  18. How much for what is left? I am looking for a roller. Thanks
