Hmm, I answered my own question, I got everything back together today and changing clip positions on the needles is not necessary, in my case anyway, its a little rich in the middle, has a little spudder, I'll be putting them back to where they were.
-
I just fattened mine up for the winter, I also pulled the needles up one notch, do you guys usually do this? I can't remember what I did last winter, I can't just ride it and see because I have to put the rest of it together still haha

If it says TC-W3 on it, it should be just fine, everyone has their own theories as to what oil to be running, personally I run klotz super-techniplate, some have bad things to say about it, I have had very good luck with it. What ever floats your boat.

What does it take to go 100mph?
broke as a joke replied to broke as a joke's topic in General Banshee Discussion
wow... thats rough. I think I may put the heel guards back on when I put the studed tires on... -
If your going to put around slow and get used to it you may want to consider mixing the gas at 40:1, mine loads up pretty bad on 32:1 while putting around slow. Just a though, I'm sure it wouldn't be that bad, just bring a plug wrench and a couple spare plugs would take care of it

What Fluids do you use in your trans?
broke as a joke replied to LIM_Whiteboy4life's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Doesn't the fact that this stuff doesn't have any additives for a wet clutch pose a problem? I always thought that the trans oil for your banshee was supposed to have some sort of wet clutch additive, thats why atf is acceptable, and pretty much any motorcyle oil as well, I could be wrong. whats the deal? -
What does it take to go 100mph?
broke as a joke replied to broke as a joke's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Thanks for the input guys, I think I'll shoot a little lower, It pulls about 75 no problem on 20" razrs so maybe I'll just change the gearing a little and throw the 22" on and change the gearing a little and shoot for 85-90 and see what happens, I'll keep you posted, I have a lot of work to do before then and of course the lake needs to freeze up haha -
I am going to compete in a local radar run on a frozen lake this winter, I want to run 100mph, for bragging rights more or less but I figured that would be fast enough for a win. I have a 99 banshee with pro circut platinums, no airbox lid, boysen superstock reeds, 4 degree timing adjustment, will have a fresh top end and *maybe step the cool head domes down from 22cc to 19, depending on funds. I will run 22'' tires on the rear, what size sprockets should I be running to achive this MPH? The question I should have asked first is do I have enough horse power to pull such tall gears to 100 MPH in 1000 feet? For you guys that have no experience with ice it is just about like running on tar when you have studs, it doesn't drag on your machine like sand or even dirt can, there is little resistance. What do you guys think? I know I'm retarded, that can't be helped... I plan on using long snowmobile picks on the rear tires and ice screw on the fronts.. Any suggestions are welcome, thanks for the in put, Seth

One main size for every 1750 to 2000 feet is the rule of thumb, I'm going from 1400 feet to 600 feetish to go to silver lake, should I plan on being ok on jets? Or will I need to adjust a little?

Heading to silver lake sometime in august

ok sounds like yogi it is, so how loud are my pro circuts? on second thought I guess since they don't have spark arestors it doesn't matter. If I put the stock silencers back on with the pro circut pipes will it be ok? -
I have Pro circut platinums with 304 silencers, my buddy has a full white bros system on his 250f, will we get in there? or is there a decibel limit? How bout spark arrestors? Also how about good places to camp nearby? Sorry for all the questions, I don't get to go on trips like this much and I want to make the most of it, its a 12 hour drive for us.

Newbie looking into buying Banshee
broke as a joke replied to dpg's topic in General Banshee Discussion
yeah just like your 300ex, 1st is all the way down, N is between first and second, then it just keeps going up, except your ex is a 5 speed and banshee's are 6. also banshee's do not have reverse. I love my banshee to death, wouldn't trade it for any other wheeler. Like already said maintainence is key, banshees do requiure a lot of maintainence, all wheelers do, but it catches up to you quick with the banshee if you don't do it. Nothing difficult at all, its just a matter of doing it, clean the air filter, adjust the chain, be sure the jetting is correct for the temperature, and elevation if you buy it from a long ways away. Let us know what you do, we're here to help. edit: yes it has a clutch, just like your EX -
cool man, I say you got a hell of a deal! let us know how it works out, sorry, have no advice on running it for you..

mmmm-BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
broke as a joke replied to AKheathen's topic in General Banshee Discussion
you guys are all missing the point, looks to me like it comes with a sweet sticker, if so, I'd buy it! -
yeah, thats what we like to hear! I think people think they are unreliable because of the blaster, my 240 blaster had to be rebuilt about as often as I had to put gas in it. My banshee is just like yours though, I run the shit out of it but maintain it very well and so far so good.

I paid a thousand for my 99 running like a champ, also a solid 7 out of 10, like someone already said offer him a lot less. Or just keep looking, good deals can be had, patience is key!

Downloadable Banshee Service Manual
broke as a joke replied to BansheeDan's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
very cool, thanks! -
if he can't figure out how to get the paddles on I hate to think how he put the rest of it together...
-
might be a little late, after my buddy and I put a motor in his 99 it said that and wouldn't run, turned out to be a dirty pcm ground on the back of passenger side cylinder head. It also fried the obd scanner because it pulled ground through it....

Banshee vs Dodge Durango?
broke as a joke replied to blaster2006's topic in General Banshee Discussion
I'll drive that dakota for you!..... there is probably something wrong with your 5.3, maybe you have been tricked and actually have a 4.8? your gmc should walk all over the 95 dodge all day long, and get better gas mileage doing it..
