  1. well my buddy has 450 shocks on his 03 craptor 660 and says they were a great improvement, so I would assume that the raptor shocks will fit on the shee considering the 450 shocks fit on the shee and the raptor. How much of an improvement they will be I can't tell you...

  3. ok I read your write up twice before I posted this in an effort to not make an ass of myself, I have now read all three pages and did get the answer I was looking for, however I did fail on the making an ass of myself part. Oh well. Thank you and good write up!
  4. there is an overwhelming amount of info on this mod, but I can't seem to find what it actually does for you, I have gathered that plus 4 timing is good and easy to do, but why is it good? I just bought my shee, it has a cool head with unknown dome size, guy said 22 or 21, so with the timing mod can get smaller domes and still run pump gas? Or is there gains to be had just by changing the timing and nothing else?

Yesterday I was going to link this here and let the flaming begin, but it occurred to me that maybe his wife is forcing him to sell it and this is his solution, you never know what some people are up to, not our problem, I wouldn't buy it even if it was reasonably priced, he couldn't even wash it for the pics haha

Step one- depress and release your CAPS LOCK key Step two- I don't know form expirience but I am guessing you will need a set of larger intake boots Step three- yes you will need a tee fitting to fuel both carbs, however you will discover that you already have one on your factory setup so good luck, let know how it goes

I have an old set of razors I was going to buy a pack of 1000 screw in tire studs and go to town on, but i just saw a pic of what looked like dune paddles with the paddles cut off and snowmobile studs in them. Snowmobile studs would be alot more durabe I would think but more expensive. So what do run and how does it work for you?
  10. if you change dex cool every 5 years like your supposed to it should be ok, but I do believe that dex-cool is alot harder on gaskets, head gaskets in particular. I would stick with conventional anti freeze or engine ice. I store my banshee in a shed when its 40 below and I'm not sure engine ice is up to that kind of temperature so I just stick with the good old green stuff.
  11. Noob hijack... Can someone enlighten me as to why that fuel filter may not be a good plan? The banshee I just bought has one of those on it.

Well first I'll introduce myself, I'm seth from northern MN and I just bought a 99 banshee, I've been going through it getting it ready for the season and I decided to sync the carbs after doing some research on here. I could not get the little windows on the carbs clean enough to see through, they are to yellowed. I just synced them as best I could by eye balling it, both slides start to come up at exactly the same time so theoretically they should still be the same at WOT also right? Or does it not work like that? also, are there any tricks to making sure the idle is set the same on both carbs? I have the TORS caps. thanks, Seth
