I like the 03 black and yellow and 06 all black with purple flames the best out of all the so called " speical editions" I guess the marketing works , I bought the 03 LE edition

Never tried the Kendas, always wanted to try the Knarleys though, , but I don't see many people running them in GNCC, you see mostly MAXXIS or ITPs

for xc racing you need 6 ply and then most people also run tire balls too! I havent found a better tire for XC than MAXXIS I never liked anything ITP put out either

stock for stock a 450 will usually take the shee basic mods like pipes /filter .tires etc on both, usually it will be close, most of the time it's the rider that will determine the outcome now where the shee really shines is when you start modding it, get some porting carbs etc, it's bye bye 450

finally got my 421 cheetah all together and the shee goes on the dyno tommorow what does everyone think I should be at? these are my mods: 421 cheetah PV 4 mill mild/dune port pump gas lightned flywheel 35mm carbs cpi pipes pingal valve now this is on a Factory dyno which typically shows 10-15% lower #s than dyno jet I thinking around 80? not that it matters for hp #s but as of now I only have a +2 swingarm, probably gonna get a +4 soon, Also have +2 +1 a arms , I mainly ride sand pits and climb shit, but also ride the trails once in a while, and I have to ride the trails to get to the sand mines

well ive thrown a chain a few times, once cause my carrier was bad on my old 300ex i rode it home like that, go 300 yards, it would fall off, go another 300 yards it would fall off, it was a long day getting back to the truck, it smashed the case saver like it wasent even there and still cracked my case, threw a new carrier in and JB welded the case and it was good as new :biggrin: BUT then i ran a entire GNCC race with a bad carrier on my old raptor and it never fell off once or broke, i didnt even realize it until I got there aND i Said fuck, i'm here, gonna go as far as I can, and I finished and ahead of my buddies 250r by the time the race was over, it was so bad i had to get a new swingarm it just worn the piss out of it and i had about 4 inches of play on it, other times i just de railed a chain due to some bullshit sticks or something, but a case saver in my opinon is always a good idea

I raced the KTM 525 a few times in gncc and it is great bike, never any issues with anything, and that was bone stock, and it has gobs of low end grunt. I like my modded yfz better. but the KTM a close second, here's a pic of me racing the stocker ktm

yeah no shit, :biggrin: it was on the second lap we were both tired as hell, best part is we are friends, just a heat of the moment thing ahh gncc racing... gotta love it

also been busy being a youtube and tv star for this little incident at a gncc event, was also on tru tv for it too :biggrin: you might have seen it im the tall one,

the motor is also all new and the front frame is narrower resulting in much better handling and cornering for racers it is a great platform to build upon

Ive been around, just about finishing up turning my 03 shee into a 421 cheetah, and doing gncc racing on my yfz I actually talk to brook on myspace from time to time,, go figure
