  1. LOL !!! Thanks Matt - I figured you have some additional thoughts on this. I just wana see if this guy can did out of his own hole at all............
  2. Alrighty Thack. So I've tried to remain neutral and see this thru to give you the benefit for your efforts while you get ragged on, but I gotta say you're offering a lot of confusing and conflicting thoughts and info here. Did I understand you correctly that you mostly do woods and aggressive trail riding? If so - then why on earth would you want to build a 10 mill motor??? In another statement you say you wana build a 4 mill.... Besides all of the obvious babble - suspesion design, geo, ect.... that you've thrown at us, you also mention an adjustable length swing arm that is controlled by adjusting a spring. Did I read that right? I have never heard of one of these and would like to know more about it. In a previous post you say you wana a +3 swing arm from Ace..... Looking at your pics it looks like you are running a long swing arm already. Am I seeing that correctly? If so, then again why for a woods setup. Also, it looks like you are running 3/2 front wheels. Am I right here too? You gripe about having made your front end 48" wide and that you would prefer 46" for your type of riding. Why not run 4/1 wheels? That alone will offer a considerable handling improvement and fix your width issue. You also mention having a custom frame built that will allow you to run an electric fan. Again - WHY ?? Why not start with a cool head and an oversized radiator. Those upgrades will easily handle any overheating issues. You're like a pig pong ball with your postings and info - you're all over the place. Help your self out here a bit - You're just throwing gas onto to your own flaming here......
  3. I Love my Flexx bars. Well worth the investment IMO - big improvment
  4. I went with the Razr Maxx for the battery life and durability. So far so good - still trying to figure out all of its functions and abilities
  5. Just curious what other guys are paying for VP C12 by the barrel? I just called my supplier / dealer to order another barrel and just about crapped my pants.......... Last time I bought a barrel I paid $525 - Current pricing is now $680 When I called the distribution center in Seattle they were wanting $820 It's only been about 18 months since I bought my last barrel - the previous 4 or 5 barrels were all $500 - $525 max Any body else seeing a 30% increase in cost? Thanks
  6. Like it says - I'm looking to update from my piece of crap Blackberry and poor Cell One service. I am looking to switch to Verizion and am looking at either the Razr Maxx or the Samsung Galaxy III. Battery life is very important which has me leaning towards the Razr. Durability is important too as I am out in the dirt constantly with my Landscaping and Excavation business. My primary needs are for talk time and texting, then e-mail service. Thanks !
  7. OK - so I've checked out Driftwood II a little closer as well as Discovery Point. At the Driftwood II - can you ride from the campground to the beach? What is the sand like at the south end of Florence? It looks like you have to ride north a little ways to get into the dunes? Any opinions or thoughts on Discovery Point? My goal is to find a situation that is kid and family friendly and will allow for easy access to ride to the beach if possible - and if possible allow me good access to ride the bigger sand myself without having to ride too far. Thanks Again !
  8. Is there a Driftwood I and a Driftwood II ? Anything for shade and trees there?
  9. Got it. Thanks. I will look closer into the Driftwood II and Riley Ranch
  10. Thanks for the replies ! We are hoping to camp out of our 24' enclosed car hauler trailer. I thought Dunefest ends Sunday the 5th and we were looking to arrive on the 6th - unless I read the dates wrong for dunefest? So you cannot ride from the dunes at Winchester to the beach? Where do you trailer to to unload and ride at the beach then. Any other details on Siltcoos? I wasn't able to find it on my first search. Thanks Again !
  11. The wife and I are looking at taking a family vacation to either the Florence or Winchester dunes in Oregon starting August 6th for about a week. I'm wanting some input as to where the best place would be to stay that would have nice family friendly campsites - we have 4 kids from 4 yrs old to 10. Hoping to find a place where we can camp from our enclosed car hauler trailer and have clean onsite shower and bathrooms and close travel distance to the beach that would allow the kids to ride their 50's with out getting stuck. A campsite in the trees would be great. Thanks !
  12. Hope I didn't come across as overly critical with my comment on covering things up. My apologies if it I did. Sometimes the little things can get overlooked when diving into projects. Great effort and lots of accomplishment. Look forward to seeing more progress pics.
  13. Looks good. Lots of progress. Glad to see after all of that grinding and welding that you finally covered the truck and the bike. Great way to pit your windshields, maybe paint too.
  14. Sweet! I figured it had to be there's or a Dean Sundahl bike. I fully agree with you on the above. The Duncan crew IMO know what it takes to go top notch and they are willing to put in the effort to get there. They are passionate craftsmen at their trade.
  15. 358 - I just checked out your build - very well done!!!
  16. This was on a Duncan PDV Banshee I'll bet....
  17. I think that Laegers has $7,250.00 posted on their website currently for a complete roller. The price was a little bit higher when I bought mine late 2007 from them. Of course that was when things were booming and they really had very little interest in building one for me at that time. They had their hands full with 450 4-stroke parts sales. I have no idea what LSR is asking, if they even make there version any more. Keep in mind, that is just for the complete roller, then you start adding all of the usual goodies, plus you have to factor in additional for some stuff to be hand fabricated, massaged or tweaked to get it to all come together. It all adds up pretty quickly. Its like building and old muscle car and adapting newer, higher performance suspension, brakes, ect. It's a lot of work and time, but you get back what you put into it. Depends on how far you wana take it.
  18. Hol crap billy ! This world is small at times - I live in Polson! Raised here since I was 2 (1980). Never left - I have a landscape and excavation business. I'd sure like to see the sun a little more in the winter though. Your bike is gorgeous! That would be awsome to connect with you next time your up. I have my own track on 20 acres West of town that we could tear it up on. Its fast too where my machine is happiest. Tight and technical is not near as fun on this one. I would definitely like to see the difference between them too. You have the JSR fuel injection on yours right? That realy has my interest. I have the CR500 rear linkage with an ELKA Elite dual rate on the back, ELKA Elite triple rates up front. Honestly I have not been totaly satisfied with the shocks and have had to put a lot of tuning and tinkering into them to get them to kinda perform up to my expectations. I probably need to have Matt check them out sometime. I've had a hard time getting them to ride smooth and not bottom badly on big jumps. I think the valving and spring combo may be out of balance. On the overall though this thing is night and day better than the stock chassis. I would have snapped a stock chassis in half by now with what this can handle. This thing has been my pasion and my sole sorce of play. And yes, I have a bunch of coin into it - more than any sane person would spend. Again - small world !
  19. Check my posts in "Post Your Beast" and "Laeger Banshee Chassis"
  20. Here's mine. Full Laegers rolling chassis. Elka Elites. Duncan 403 Motor.
