That could happen anyway. You never know
Oh REALLY?!?! -
Seemed like a better fuel IMO.

Gotcha
Did you and Cam figure for the C14 versus C12 or typical 110? -
Good on fuel for a while.

Why C14 versus C12? -

i have a stock cylinder 4 mil with 66 bore. no issues. its not that the walls are too thin, its the fact they dont make a piston for any bigger of a bore. if i melt mine down, i am gonna look into nic plating the cylinders to give them life again, unless there is a smoking deal on aftermarket.
how big can you go before you have wall thickness issues?
Varies. Some 66mm is too much, others can go 66.50mm.
The intake bridge porting will have some effect on cylinder life once you reach the 66.0 mm mark.
From my experience with a 66.0 mm stock cylinder and aggressive intake porting, I would be very hesitant to go that route route again.
I had both intake bridges cracking and ultimately break causing a catastrophic failure for me. -
There's a guy local to me that has a laeger frame and did some desert racing. He ran FMF pipes and his story was that he would damage those silencers pretty often.

Yep. The silencers have to be moved outward slightly. -
I think Elka did the best they could with the linkage and anything better would require modifying the upper shock mount. I also think adding more travel than this will make the silencers start kissing the caliper.

I would agree with this possibility.
On my Laeger my right side silencer will contact the caliper.
I had to install a 1/2" spacer on both silencers to angle them outward to create the clearance and a uniform look.- 1

That's awesome

Wow!!! REALLY??
Gorgeous bike!
That's a very fair price.

To give Controls the benefit of doubt, I'm guessing he's had plenty of wait time for critical components to be built and shipped.
-
Nice! LolYes sir

If you've already got a motor in the works from Cam, I would suggest sticking with him for your next motor as well.
Unless he's booked so far out that you can't wait.

Lastnline75 is correct, there is no Pro-Trax front available for an oem chassis.
Laeger's only built the Pro-Trax front end to bolt to their 250R geometry banshee chassis.
Laeger's did offer the Pro-Trax front end for most of the popular 450 four stroke bikes, a select few 400's, the original oem 250R and of course their own 250R Pro-Trax chassis bikes.

Video is a little hard to see well to be honest.
The vertical, narrow viewing really limits what you can see.

Get the correct sized tap and very carefully clean up the threads.
If that doesn't work, then you might need to helicoil it.

Too funny!!

That should help!I already have +2+1 arms. I'm pretty sure I'm going to go with a minus 1 swing arm.
-
IMO, that is very doubtful.Being that the frame is lighter than stock. Will it possibly be less nose heavy?
In order to help with the nose heavy feeling you need plus 1" forward a arms.
If that doesn't help, then a minus 1.0 - 2.0" swing arm.
-
This is a valid concern. After speaking to some people who have done builds with aftermarket frames, the challenge is getting everything to bolt on perfectly.

I experienced this when building my Laeger Pro-Trax chassis.
Most everything fit, but many things did not fit the same as oem. A number of items had to be "massaged" into place.
I have no idea if this holds true for one of these LSR oem replacement frames or not.
I do know this, the chromoly frame and components of my Laeger have been far more durable then an oem frame in my experience.

Plus the motor should run cooler and more consistently.I believe it's a solid gain. Gains in torque, and hp.

The Laeger Pro Trax and LSR Outlaw bikes are out there.
They are hard to find, but with a little effort they can be found.
I would definitely be curious to see what Walsh would come up with!

I highly doubt that you would regret a 450 Ford for your towing needs.
There's a very noticeable gain in towing stability and handlong manners going from my DRW F350 to my 550 pulling my heavy gooseneck.
The brakes are definitely stronger too.
