I did it to mine, so far so good it helped a decent bit works awesome with a modded shift star. pretty easy drill the old piece off and bolt that bearing on. not sure how this wouldnt last a season unless something else went wrong.
I used to wrestle and do some MMA i actually have an idea on whats going on and how fights work instead of your typical ufc "fan" who is clueless as hell to what is happening and how it works. Also yes i guess if wrestling counts as gay porn then i must like it, oh well.
I use the same type of compression tester its an old Hastings one in a yellow case has different pieces to it but it has that rubber piece you just push up against the plug hole. i cant imagine it being off my much...it read 115 and 120 on my banshee right before i tore it down and on my dads it read like 135 after we rebuilt it and thats on a banshee with a stock head and .020 overbore.
I have them, all i ride is rough XC terrain and they are badass very heavy tire though even heavier then razr2s. they hook good, deep lugs and they clean out very good also. Definitely my favorite xc tire.
For the c-clip just use a set of pliers that push outward, i have one i use that i modified to work it used to be for snap rings. or just use two a screwdriver and pick or something.
