What kinda motor and times are you running in the 1/8? i would think its mainly because of the 44 in the rear. I would think if you went with a 18 in the front and have the power that should fix you running out of gear and you can swap back to a 17 without changing chain length and not sur ehow much shorter your rear tires are than mine

I'm running 20.5x10x10 americam racers sd23. I ran 18/40 last time to the track and had plenty of gear for the 1/8 ran threw it at 96mph going to run my 17/40 next time can get there quicker and still have plenty of gear. Have a full drag ported 4mill with lockup,39 carbs, on alky,coolhead yadda yadda 2-5 cyrnoed tranny which i'm changing to a 1-5 soon as it take it out. Motor all done by Jeff at FAST With 18/40 i had enough gear for a 1000ft easy so changing back to 17/40 because i only care to run the 1/8 an dnot the 1/4. A 1-6 tranny with tear up on asphalt. They would be nice ass hell to have but have talked to lots of people and never heard of one yet that lived longer than a few races. Why i think a 1-5 is the perfect tran and will hold up pretty good. If your limmited on power and need more gears a 1-6 may hold up. And with a manual 5th and 6th with a lockup i think it would be hell to get into gear ? maybe not?

I run asphalt and i would keep the 1-5 because to clutch it when you hit 6th its not going to want to go into gear and with a 1-5 you should have plenty of gears to make the 1/4 miles and 1/8

Best way is go to a place that sell automotive paint. The make special paint for plastic that holds up very very well. Uses a special promoter that makes the paint stick. I know some people that have this done and even airbrushed and have spilled racing gas etc on it and doesn't stain it ,make it peel etc. Works very well

Yea its a yfz450. I dont have any of those any longer. Had to sell the custom XR650 when i put my new house in which sucked. The bought the white one and it was nothing like it was supposed to be off ebay so i built it with new everything. Sold it bought the black one that was already built lol. Now have my banshee and will never look back. I'm a power junkie and finally found something maybe with enough power to suit me lol. Both YFZ's had 480 kits etc ran damn good but nothing like the SHEE in drag trim

Never owned a KTM quad but had a supermoto bike and all i ever did was fix oil leaks ont he piece and my Honda would flat smoke its ass. They build some nice stuff with bling fromt he factory but hell for what they cost you can pretty much trick out a Jap quad and they will run longer better and out last about anythign out there. And i have had 3 YFZ450'S with 480 kits etc and i would put them up against a KTM any day. But if you want to buy stock and just ride it i'm sure the KTM'S nice and performs better off the floor

Ok guys order some DRAGGIN GLASS body work so checking interest on selling whats on the quad now. Not sure what brands etc they are. They are all black and not painted except the part that holds the grill. The previous owner painted it and it looks great but it has been painted just so you know. The have a few small light scuffs most where the seat latch is from removing the seat but very very light. These ar ein EX condition and dont have any deep,bad scratches or cracks of any kind and the fraphics and seat cover are MINT and look great . PICS basically speak for themselves. I'm going to leave the rear plastic black as they are but looking for a kickass airbrush idea or skeem you might say. Any ideas or pics or links of your quad or other pics of different quad or links would be great. Also some ideas with colors for the shock springs and seat thinking of coing with a cascade seat cover with the three different colors that wrap around just need and idea of colors?? might have to wait till the airbrush works done for that not sure. Seems like you would want to keep that cut 1-5 tranny beens its pretty much the best thing for asphalt unless your going billet.

Theres a guy on ebay selling a complete 4mill with drag port by JEFF at FAST with lockup,overide trans,lectrons,most everything polished etc for $2000 BUY IT NOW i would jump on that if you can its a steal and ready to run other than pipes borrow the orther $400 from a friend or something. Its not listed as buy it now but in the deascription it said to contact him and he would sell it for that. Just a thought

Looking at this frame and wondering what you guys think about it? Made well?poorly?price? etc and has no title. Also wondering if any1 can photochop it or whatever so i an see what my quad would look like with that color frame beens it was just coated? Jeff is going to say go with Shearers i bet . I have them on my quad i just got from him a month ago OOF'S both out the left and i like them. But if you plan on duning,jumping at all or have really rough roads i'd keep inframes beause the OOF'S dont mount very sturdy and i think you would crack them out everywhere

Were built for stock width +2 forward metal tech a-arms so anything stock width should work great

These came on the quad when ig ot it and are in MINT shape and very nice looking and performing shocks i'm just racing asphalt so i'm gettin Marvins for the weight and stiffness difference. Not sure what the previous owner spent on these getting them built but as you can see theres not much left on them if anything that resembles a 300ex shock. They are dual rate on the front and fully ride hieght adj. These are 13 inches long and can be adj like i have them currently to 12 to sit really low. They dont have any leaks and look brand new and as you can see they added a spot where you can charge them as well. The rear is a R6 done by the same people SUPERIOR SUSPENSION built all 3. The rear is single rate and like enw as well. Best stuff i have ever seen is called RUST CURE it basically pull the rust out of the metal and even leaves it primed afterwards so you can lightly sand it and spray it

My quad has 300ex shocks built by them and a rear r6 and kinda wanting to get and idea what they are worth thinking of buying Marvins and selling them. They look nothing like 300ex shocks any more they are sweet looking and well set up shocks .
