Its an alky motor, F.A.S.T told me to go with the 21cc domes.

Long story short, Im having a garage built and got Fu** out of about 3 grand so I was going to sell my motor to pay to get it put up. Then the guy thats building it turned out to be a big banshee guy and said he wanted it in exchange for building it. Then his wife changed his mind for him and I just said screw it and ponied out the cash and kept my baby.

I havent started the motor yet as im just finishing the build but im looking at firing it up this weekend so any help is much apprechiated. Thanks 421 drag ported cub, Cases ported, Blaster Pistons, V-force 3 reeds, Rdz head with 21cc domes, Shear big bore our of frames, 39mm Mikuni Flatslide's with pod filters, timming at +6. Jetting it for alky, want to know where a good starting point is for the carbs. Power jet, air-fuel, needle, pilot jet?
-
Got the problem all figures out. Ordered some 21cc domes for the blaster pistons. Squish was at .053 and compression was good. Need to double check with another compression guage.
-
I will be running alky. Just wanted to make shure as it said 68.5 and cubs are 68 or are they actually 68.5? thanks...

Looking to buy a good set of 21cc domes for 68mm blaster pistons. let me know if anybody has any.
-
Wanting to drag cut my harness for my banshee. Not using a key or headlights. Stock carbs removed so no tors. If anybody has done it and could get me some pics of where they put everyhting and what they cut out that would be great. thanks
-
Yes the base of the piston crown is at the top of the bore and the top of the crown sticks out a little.
-
And yes the squish was too large that I wasnt getting a reading.
-
Put it back together to do another compression check and squish check. Took the carbs off, compression was around 100psi but I still could'nt get a squish reading. The pistons that I am using are wiseco 573M06800. They are blaster pistons. Just to make shure, these are the right pistons for a 4mm longrod crank with cub cylinders.
-
Putting the 421 toghether and did a compression check, Only had around 75psi and Couldnt get a squish reading. Dont know what the heck is going on. Everything seemed ok when I took the head off. Its a 4mm cranks, cub cylinder, blaster pistons, and a RDZ head with 20cc domes. Do they have to be RDZ domes? Let me know what you guys think. thanks
-
Getting my 421 put together. Went to do a compression test on it and I only had around 75psi. Went to check the squish and I coudn't. Trying to figure out what the heck is going on. Everything looked like it was sealed up good. Its a 4mm crank, 68mm pistons, Cub cylinders. Its a RDZ head, do I need a RDZ domes or just domes cut for the setup.
-
I just got done building my 4mm cub motor. I have the opportunity to sell it and pick up a used 10mm for the same price. What would you guys do stick with the brand new 4mm or go big with a 10mm and give her some new gaskets and rings. thanks
-
thanks for the advice guys. But what do you mean by drilling the dumps? also what plugs do you guys run. thanks
-
I decided not to part out my bike because I realized why I started to build it when I went out to a jamboree last week. Nothing like banshee power!! I have a 421 cub drag ported with blaster pistons, cases are ported, RDZ head with 20cc domes. 39mm mikuni carbs setup for alky with powerjets. What should my compression be at? Squish? Timming?. Help on carb setup. Just wanting some good advice on what everything should be out so nothing gets damaged since it will be the first time the motor has been started. Let me know if I need anything or you guys need some more info. Thanks
