Did you get the slides back in the right carbs?
-
ok guys i have an 01 shee, lights were working fine right before winter hit now they wont turn on at all. anyone got any idea what it could be. both bulbs are still fine and its not the stator because the thing runs like a beast. thanks guys of any help you can give me!
It could still be the stator, you have an ignition windings and lighting windings on the stator. It also could be your voltage regulator,or wiring, the switch.Do you have voltage to the yellow or green wires?Check your grounds also.

I was told from a trusted source in my opinion, the vito's cranks had weak rods.
-
how about just setting the cdi to stock position? then what going +10 on the plate?
My 421 cub liked +10 with stock ignition.

my mods
40 over
cool head
fmf exhaust
boost bottle
no tors
kn filter no lid
290 mains
30 pilot
needle 2 groove from top
mixture screws 1 3/4 out
my question is when i start it ,it wants to rev to the moon, but when i pull the chock half way it runs good, and when i push the chock bac in it revs again
i have tried 270 and 310 mains and moving the needle clip any other ideas thanks
Check your intake boots were your boost bottle goes in,they could be torn or leaking, common problem.

So....
I shouldn't put Trinity or Pro Circuits on my drag bike? Damn it...cancel that order.

dave moore and cameron are the kings of small bore in the northwest. dave swept the albany sand drags, from kids to adults he owned them all

The misconception is that more oil is rich and less is lean.
I ,thought you where confusing oil with air, but you are absolutely wright .
Yea,i think ALOT of people get that confused also.
-
Dont you mean more fuel to AIR in the intake is rich.
And lean is having less fuel per volume of AIR.
So your saying 50:1 is richer then 32:1??
Yes,because there would be more fuel molecules in the mixture at 50:1 then 32:1.You would have more oil and less fuel at 32:1
-
More oil is rich less is lean
NO it is NOT.If you have more oil in your cylinder then you have less room for fuel therefore it means you are leaner on your fuel mixture.More oil is lean, less oil is richer!

hey guys trying to figure out what ratio to run in the bike. the guy i got it from said he mixed 4 gallons of gas to a bottle of oil. the bottle said it was for 5 gallons of oil. so what do you guys think would be good. the jetting is pretty good with the mixture he was running. if i went 5 gallons would it lean it out to much?
The more oil you have the leaner you are,the less oil you have the richer you are.If you have more oil mixed with your fuel then there will be less fuel in your cylinder causing it to be leaner.

The pick up gap would def keep it from starting.
-
You would need 21cc domes at sea level to run 93 octane.
-
I have ran it both ways and never noticed a difference

There is no good 2 into 1 set up
-
Thanks . Thats kinda what i was thinking. What engine combo is a good one?? I do mainly wide open riding. No all out drag racing just a all together good running combo
4mil crank and some stock cylinders ported to match and some 35 carbs with a good set of pipes.
-
Pipes could be holding you back.

-
I think the 18cc will give you to much compression.A 21cc dome at sea level would give you about 180 with that set up.I would not go smaller than a 20cc.
-
I have had good luck with sunstar sprockets.
-
You can def snap those studs off pretty easy if you are not careful.
-
Are you running a dual feed pingal and a drilled out gas cap?
-
Is the ballbearing still in there? Is there a locknut on the adjusting screw?

It could be the oring on the coolant pipe that goes into the side cover, could also be that you have you case vent hose hooked up wrong. You could have it hooked together with the water pump vent and the over flow hose.
