  1. I have ran a cylinder like that before,i chamerd the edges and ran it.That far down the cylinder is were it supports the piston when the rod changes direction.Mine was damaged from a broken rod and was a little bigger chunk. It lasted for a long time and it never failed because of that broken piece.I would try it but,it would be best if you didn't have too.I am always tearing my motors apart so it wasn't that big of deal for me.I REALLY liked the port job on my cylinders is why i ran mine.

  2. What is the general consensus about boring this far? Anyone have any experience with cylinders bored this far? Mine are at .060 now and just wondering so if I need to go larger with this rebuild.

You should not have to go past .080 to clean up your cylinders unless they are really messed up.You should never go bigger than you have too.My buddy had 100 over and it ran good but had to get custom domes made too set the motor up right. It did not seem to overheat but the bike was only ridden at the coast.

  3. i have a 421 cub motor and stock gearing and duncan mid range pipes, 1st,2nd and 3rd gear are revving out fast, just ran 2 tanks so far do i still need some break in time or some cpis or change my geAring??? any suggestions from exp members?? thanks

You should go to a cpi, shearer, rocket, vito's fat bastard or the new sniper pipe, that will let your motor rev out farther and match your carbs better.I run a 15-41 gearing on my cub on alky with 22 inch tall tires.I would change the pipes and then figure out your gearing, what kind of riding do you do with the bike?

  4. I had my 4mil cub decked and ported,it gave it 7 more pounds of torque and only dropped peak 3hp and gave it alot broader power range.Did not fall out of the pipe near as easy as it did before and ran alot faster 60ft times.4.17 300ft 240lb rider with a non lightend stock frame.

  5. The cylinders are 69.5 If I remember correctly and it will be on a stock stroke long hot crank. The bike has dyno port big volumes and t5s have to test both, pwk 28s with pods soon to switch over to a cfm box, +4 or +5 timing havent decided which to use yet, trinity stage IV porting and thats about it. It has boyesen dual stages and ill probably port the stock cages and mabey the cases if I get a chance. Thats about all I can think of hope that helps.

To stay on pump gas with that bore you might need 23cc or 24cc domes.
