I would not use trinity domes at all. I had a trinity head once and kept blowing o rings and rattling plugs loose, switched to a Noss head and domes with the same cc of dome and problem went away. 21cc dome at sea level with +4 on the timing is safe for pump gas.

Has anyone used a 2 into 1 carb set up with a cheetah cub 392cc or 421cc. I have a 35mm pwk on my stock engine and I am happy with it. Would a 38mm work with the 392cc or 421cc? Also, how much stroke will the case allow for before I need to clearance it?...The 421 uses a 4m crank
Why would you ever want to do run a 2 into 1 set uo on any motor ? There is no performance gains running 2 into 1 set up, you will lose performance. Dual carbs set up properly will run circles around any 2 into 1 set up.

I would run a duneable override also. Just having an override can add 3 or 4 bike lenghts in a race.

I would put dual carbs back on it.

You might have your slides in your carbs swapped, switch the slides and try it.

Trinity cuts some shitty ass domes.I tried to run them and kept blowing orings and rattling plugs loose.Had redline cut me some domes and WOW what a difference.I don't think some people realize how much power there is to be made in running properly cut domes.

New to the forum. Have a 2000 with tors removal, fmf fatty/powercore II, stock carbs and airbox. running 32:1 amsoil I picked the bike up a couple weeks ago and started fixing misc. stuff on it, changing fluids, sprockets, wheel bearings, etc... It was sitting for about 3 years, so i cleaned out the carbs and put new gas in it. Fires up on the 1st kick. The issue is there is pretty much no bottom or midrange. Once it hits the powerband it takes off fine but seems to stumble on the very top too. Have a total of 2 runs on it and the new plugs are black. not gummed up. Is this a jetting issue or possible electrical? I'll have to pull the carbs again to see what the jet size is, but i do remember the clip is in the middle.
Sounds like it could be a little fat on the jetting.Could try going down a size or too on the main and see how the plugs look and how it reacts to the jetting change.

You could put foam around the rad so it is in between the rad and the rad shroud, this forces the air to go through the rad instead of around it.

What caused the pitting ? You need to make sure the crank bearings are ok. The size and shape of the dome depends on what octane and what kind of fuel you are going to use.
