    Get a bigger hammer! Take a pick and pull out the seal. Spray it with wd-40, PB Blaster or something like that. Those are probably 24 year old bearings so god only knows what they've been through.

    Once I take off I don't use the clutch, up or down shifting. I rode my Banshee there for three days with no problems besides the axle bearing going south. I guess it really depends on your skill as a rider. I rode alot of machines that weekend cuz it was over there level of riding. Some of the trails are big enough for trucks.

    I'd say that cylinder is out of spec. and needed to be bored to the next size. Measure the cylinders and report back.

    You can ride anytime you want. We rode up to one of the look outs before sunset and didn't get back to the cabins til a little before midnight.

    Have you checked the water pump to make sure the impeller hasn't melted if it's a stocker? Just a thought.
