  2. buy a ltr my friend has a yfz and i cant stand it.... he is also thinking of selling it to buy an ltr ltr's can be mx'ed in stock form with no problem.

  8. im having problems with the overflow leaking, i dont know what the float height should be i tried bending the floats so they will be a lil further down but its still leaking i need some help here the float needle looks brand new still, doesnt have a ring around the tip of it.
  9. i had my lt500 cylinder resleeved by northwest sleeve, i didnt know it but i was supposed to send the new piston with it so they could match the bore to the piston. they do 4 thousandths clearance. on the zilla atleast.

  11. also, if it was the floats, wouldnt it be leaking gas when its sitting in my barn? i dont shut the fuel off
  12. thats what i was asking myself...... i think my 300ex has better suspension my ltr is a lil tied up from a stump in the dunes, so its all i had lol anyone know the float height for 34mm pj's?
  13. i was at a local mx track, and i noticed the vents on the carbs were leaking. it musta been leaking pretty good, it washed the dirt off that area of the frame. and the overflow looks wet also but the bike does not leak while sitting.... 34mm pj's anyone????
  14. ~story~ i bought the bike with 158 mains, and it didnt run for shit, fell on its face about 3/4 throttle. so i put in 152 mains and lowerd the clip one. "how do u know its rich in the middle but the mains are good" from checking the plugs after runnin it id run it wfo, kill it and check the plugs run 1/2 throttle, kill it and check the plugs. ~Current condition~ the plugs would get pretty black at 1/2 throttle, so i raised the clip to the middle. and the plugs are now a milk chocolate brown. mains are 152 needle cgl, middle clip cant remember the pilot fmf pippes k&n clamp on's 34mm pj's it MAY have aftermarket reeds.... the ones in it are dual stage. i dunno if that is stock or not. anyways, i went to a big benefit ride at a local track it it seems much better now. but the left side does still smoke more for whatever reason. and i noticed my overflow lines and vent lines were all wet, so i may have a float problem. i dont know much about dealing with those.
  15. im mixing at 32:1 maxima 927 my left silencer is leaking oil all over, and i noticed that cylinder is smoking more than the right i have it jetted rich in the middle, but the mains are good. any input?
  16. just run a tap throught them to clean the powder out.

  18. i have a step side s10, i have to put my quads on top of the bed lol i made a lil quad carrier out of 1in angle iron and some bleacher seating

  23. 34mm pj's is the only way to adjust the idle by adjusting the nut on top of the carb caps? when i start the bike it idles nice and low, but as soon as i rev it, it will idle higher. and what are some tips to sync the carbs w/o the tool?
